As more people are using computers and cell phones there are more ways you can earn and income from having your own home business or working at home jobs. Some workers work for large or medium-sized businesses and other workers are independent workers that work for large or small companies while working at your house. Others are private consultants and take on clients . There are those who actually own their own business and create products out of their home or from a warehouse located somewhere else.
Working From Home Jobs - Why Is This Important?
There are many reasons people want to work out of their home. For some, not having to have a long commute helps them save time and money. You won't spend as much on gas and can help you save hundreds of dollars a year. If you live in a large city like Atlanta or Seattle then you end up saving hours every single day from not having to drive. For other people, they find they can spend more time with their kids and help them with schoolwork . Being able to save lots of time and gas money, in addition to being able to spend more time with their kids are major reasons people want to telecommute or have their own at-home business.
Working From Home Jobs - What I Like About Them
I have worked from home the last few months in many capacities. Some of the situations have been with big Fortune 500 businesses where I had to travel and visits clients. Even though you don't go into your company every day you end up on the road and are exhausted from all the traveling. You work much more than a 40 hour week and there is pressure in terms of sales quotas. Since you have a mobile phone and computer your office expects to be able to get a hold of you all the time.
Working From Home Jobs - What I don't like
Working from home jobs can be lonely. You might feel isolated and if you don't know how to complete a task there is no one to ask for assistance. You won't have co-workers lunches or staff parties. It will be harder to make friends with your co-workers and socializing will take more effort.
Working From Home Jobs - Final Thoughts
For some workers that are structured working out of their home office can be a great lifestyle. For a person that needs direction and like having friends to talk to at the office then it might not be a great choice. For me it has worked out quite nicely.... I am making more income, have more lesiure time and I have the freedom to dictate my schedule.
