Attracting Harry Potter's Magic Guitar

When I was a kid I asked my parents for a guitar for Christmas. I was probably under ten years old. They were struggling, scarcity minded, hard working folks who weren't convinced I'd actually practice or stick with it. So they gave me a Roy Rogers special cowboy guitar, made out of cardboard.

It took me almost fifty years to get over it.

But these days I love attracting guitars and playing guitars. I'm fortunate enough to know musicians as well as guitar teachers. Weekly lessons with Guitar Monk Mathew Dixon are a blast. Talking music with guitarist Pat O'Bryan is always enlightening. And meeting luthiers (guitar makers) is also educational and inspiring.

Recently I met Mark Erlewine. This luthier made guitars for every rock star I've ever admired, including Billy Gibbons, Dusty Hill of ZZ Top, Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits, Johnny Winter, Don Felder, Joe Walsh of the Eagles, Bob Dylan, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Jimmy Buffet, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Billy Squier, Bruce Springsteen -- and the list goes on (!).

Turns out Mark has a little shop in Austin, Texas, which isn't far from my home. I went to see him one day to check out a Mark Erlewine invention actor Michael J. Fox used in the famed movie Back to the Future: a travel-sized electric guitar called a Chiquita.

Side note: I love travel guitars. I have several, including a pride and joy called a TommyHawk, which was made for me in 1996 by the late Tom Barth. Only 300 were ever made. One went into the Smithsonian in 1997. I want another, if you come across one.

I went to Mark's shop. He's a soft spoken, gentle, humble man. He didn't explain the gold record on the wall. He didn't brag about all the photos on his walls of famous rock stars playing his guitars. Instead, I asked to see the Chiquita and he showed it to me. I loved it and bought it. But I didn't stop there.

Now that I'm attracting new guitars, I'm always on the look out for the guitar with magic powers. The one that plays itself. The one that makes me sound better than what I am. I started to believe Mark could be the inventor of the Harry Potter guitar - the one that turns me into a shredding wizard with the guitar as my magic wand.

So I looked around Mark's shop. He had a couple display cases. In one hung a guitar that seemed alive. Its soul was calling me. The flame top seemed to whisper my nick-name, Mr. Fire.

I asked to see that guitar.

Mark made it in the 1980s, the body out of one block of wood and the neck out of Brazilian rosewood. It has a whammy bar on the front and a sustain plate on the back of the neck. I played it and loved it.

I now own that guitar, too.

What are the lessons here?

First, give your kids what they want. Had I started playing the guitar when I was seven, I'd be far better at playing today at almost fifty-seven. But my father wanted me to play the accordion. He bought me one of those. He paid for lessons for me, too. But I wanted to play the guitar.

Two, go for what you want. Too many people settle. They settle for what they think is possible rather than stretching and persisting. If you really want to be something or do something, don't give up or settle for less. Hold to the dream. I'm taking guitar lessons today to bring to life my dream of playing from earlier days. I'm going for what I want. Childhood dreams do come true.

Three, have fun. I'm delighted to be at a place in my life where I can take time off to look at cars or guitars. I still do my work, of course. I'm still more productive and prolific than the average 'Joe". I still practice the seven steps in Attract Money Now. I still donate to worthy causes. But I also take care of me.

A Confident Woman Takes Action

How many times have you sat at your desk and pondered exactly what your next move should be? How many times have you KNOWN what your next move should be but still just sat there?

More times than I can count I have had the deer in headlights thing happen to me. I know what I want to say and still, I sit there paralyzed. I keep making excuses as to why I am not moving forward. One of my favorite excuses is, "I'm still working on the missing pieces", or "It needs something more." No matter what I do, I never feel it is complete enough or good enough. I am writing in present tense because IT STILL HAPPENS TO ME!

I often find myself caught in comparison mode and all my past feelings and beliefs about myself surface. Things like, "I'm not smart enough," "I don't have enough education," or "I'm a fraud." These are actual thoughts that STILL creep into my subconscious, and if I ALLOW them, they will creep into my life, on a professional and personal level.

I'd like to tell you that, with a magic wand, all the feelings of inadequacy fade away, BUT that's not going happen. But, what can happen if you are willing to work at it, is YOU CAN REPROGRAM your thoughts and it's a very simple process that requires what I refer to as the 3 A's.

1. Awareness

2. Acceptance

3. Alignment

Awareness

Before anything can change, you must become aware that it exists. Because the main theme of my business and my life is simplify, I keep it easy.

When I sit paralyzed at my desk, I simply ask myself ,"What's going on with me?" I keep a notebook and pen handy and write down all the thoughts that immediately flow into my head as I ask the question. Usually, I am quite familiar with the thoughts, BUT seeing them in print helps me adjust to them and eventually allows me to go to the next step… Acceptance

Acceptance

Let me be very clear here. Acceptance does not mean you agree with or condone the thoughts. It simply means you are willing to allow them to be. You remove any attachment to them. Think of yourself as the observer. You are watching yourself have the thoughts/feelings and you are NOT JUDGING! Have the mindset of radical acceptance. A phrase I am known for is, "IT IS WHAT IT IS!"

Alignment

The third step is alignment. This alignment refers to your PURPOSE, or your WHY, why you do what you do. I strongly encourage you to write out your PURPOSE STATEMENT or your WHY statement if you haven't already done so. This is always going to be your point of reference. It's your business GPS!

All your thoughts and actions should always align with your PURPOSE statement. After you have done step 1 and 2, you must make sure you are lining up with your PURPOSE, your WHY.

I do not believe you will ever fully eliminate all the past beliefs (I am living proof of that), but I do firmly believe that you can learn a way to work with them and find the ultimate success and happiness you desire. I am also living proof of that!

Diet Menus And Plans - Revisiting The Atkins Diet

There is no danger in reading about diets. But please, do not undertake any diet without discussing the pros and cons with a qualified health care professional. You can really harm yourself if you don't take proper precautions. And don't expect to lose pounds after pounds quickly and effortlessly. Keeping these precautions in mind you are now ready to consider the Atkins Diet.

The Atkins Diet is one of the most famous diets. It encompasses four phases, known as induction, ongoing weight loss, pre-maintenance, and, when you are ready, the lifetime maintenance phase. The two week long induction phase eliminates your fat reserves as you get liberated from food dependencies. You such avoid forbidden foods such as bread, pasta, fruits, and certain vegetables. Stop eating as soon as your hunger is gone. And don't consume over 20 grams of glucides per day. The somewhat similar ongoing weight loss phase lasts for several weeks. Now you may consume small red fruits and berries, cheeses such as cottage cheese or mozzarella, or nuts such as almonds or walnuts. Tomato juice and lemon juice may now join the party. These new foods may be consumed in small quantities. Don't add more than 5 grams of glucides daily.

During the pre-maintenance phase you may add foods one at a time to your diet as well as up to a maximum of 10 grams of daily glucides. The newly allowed foods include kiwi, peach, apples or grapefruit, (half an apple or grapefruit per day), or a third of a banana. Lentils, dried green beans, chickpeas, long grain brown rice, oatmeal, potatoes, and carrots may now jbe part of your food consumption. Be sure to avoid prepared foods as they often contain too much glucides, stay away from sugar, practice sports or exercise a half hour a day, and moderate your caffeine and alcohol consumption.

The Atkins Diet is fairly easy to follow, in particular the later stages. You won't need to count calories. It claims to help reduce the likelihood of heart disease, high blood pressure, and Type 2 diabetes. Consider the disadvantages, which include important modifications of dietary habits and the monotony during the early stages when many people become constipated due to a shortage of fiber and fruits.

Here is a sample menu to be followed during the pre-maintenance phase. Breakfast: A bowl of oatmeal with thick, unsweetened Greek yoghurt and raspberries. Lunch: Lentil soup with tortillas. Supper: A lettuce, cucumber, and radish salad. Lobster tails in a butter sauce. Pureed cauliflower. Vanilla flan made with a sugar substitute.

Time Management Tips - 7 Searching Questions Help Unlock Your Deeply Rooted Time Problems

Time management tips help you live bigger if you're willing to think bigger. This article features a quick exercise to expand your sense of possibilities. It can be quite liberating!

Do you ever feel like you're swimming in circles, longing to learn more creative, effective ways to get things done? Family Origin Exercise - Identify Your Lifetime Scripts About Time Choices

You can learn a surprising amount about yourself with the deceptively simple fill-in-the-blank exercises. Bring a friendly receptivity to your exploration to obtain the most enlightening results. By opening up your family history, you enrich yourself. If other family members also shaped your approach to time, include them in your exercise, as well.

Thinking About A Diet - Consider The Astro Diet

There is no danger in reading about diets. But please, do not undertake any diet without discussing the pros and cons with a qualified health care professional. You can really harm yourself if you don't take proper precautions. And don't expect to lose pounds after pounds quickly and effortlessly. Keeping these precautions in mind you are now ready to consider the Astro Diet.

The Astro Diet heavily depends on the astrological signs. It is destined for people who want to lose weight slowly. This diet divides people into two groups, the Salties and the Sweeties. The Salties group consists of all those people who were born under the following signs: Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, and Aquarius. The Sweeties group includes the others; Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn, and Pisces. The Astro Diet food guidelines are different for the two groups, and there is a food horoscope for each Zodiac sign.

The Salties should consume more fruits, legumes, starchy foods, and cereals. They are advised to avoid potato chips, peanuts and cold cuts. Their suggested foods include soy sauce, smoked salmon, and plain yogurt. The Sweeties can lose weight by eating foods whose sugar digests slowly. They shouldn't eat foods rich in glucides between meals. Carbonated drinks, fruit juice, ice cream, dry cookies, and jams are no-nos for them. On the plus side these lucky people are allowed bread, tomatoes, and wine. (While I sometimes enjoy sweet wine, I don't know anybody who is a fan of salty wine.) As a Sagittarius I must reduce my consummation of animal protein, grease, heavy starches, and alcohol. On the other hand, I am told to eat more vegetables, apples, and sushi and drink lots of green tea. I am counseled not to eat too much fat at dinner. Did I mention that outdoor sports are recommended for me and my co-Sagittari? After carefully considering these multiple restrictions I have ab
solutely no plans to follow the Astro diet, unless I can change my sign.

A major advantage of this diet is that it's not strict. Some people might end up following it for life. A disadvantage for many people is the diet's reliance on astrology, even more so if you are not a believer. The Astro Diet does not include any information with respect to calorie management nor suggestions for the weight loss rhythm. And it is complicated for a family whose members were born under different astrological signs. Do you know any other kinds of families?

Here is a sample menu, one that is designed for Scorpions: For breakfast have a herb omelet, a slice of whole-grain bread and a yoghurt. The suggested lunch consists of a couscous and raspberries. Supper means some asparagus, a quiche Provencal, green salad, and half a cantaloupe.

Recognizing Alcohol Addiction and Researching Available Options

Recognizing alcohol addiction is the very first step towards dealing with the problem. In fact, no one is able to deal with any type of problem until they recognize that there is a problem which needs to be dealt with.

Alcohol addiction affects millions of people and their families -there is a much wider circle of hurt than the person who is suffering from the addiction themselves. Addiction can affects partners, children, family friends and loved ones.

Recognizing Alcohol Addiction - The Drinking Problem

So what's the difference between enjoying the occasional alcoholic drink and suffering from alcohol addiction? Enjoying the occasional drink may have developed into something closer to becoming an alcoholic or alcohol abuse if:

· You begin to feel ashamed about how much alcohol you drink, or it makes you feel guilty.
· You have started to lie to other people about how much alcohol you drink and your drinking habits.
· Other people who are close to you have expressed concern about your drinking habits.
· You cannot relax unless you have an alcoholic drink.
· You often drink more alcohol than you originally intended to.
· You begin to have blackouts and forget what happened while you were drinking alcohol.

Some or all of these signs may be the first tell of alcohol addiction. Basically, if drinking is causing problems in any part of your life, then you certainly may have a drinking problem.
Whereas the above points may indicate the first signs of someone who suffers from a drinking problem, alcohol abuse is not necessarily the same as alcohol addiction. Alcoholics find it impossible to function without alcohol and feel physically compelled to drink alcohol.

Recognizing the Development of Alcohol Addiction

· You may be suffering from an alcohol addiction if your tolerance has increased to the point where you need to drink much more alcohol than everybody else to feel equal effects.

· Another sign of alcohol addiction is a visible shake in the mornings followed by the need for a drink in order to stop shaking and calm down. You may also suffer from withdrawal symptoms if you do not take an alcoholic drink for some time - these symptoms include sweating, jumpiness, anxiety, insomnia, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, irritability, depression, headache and loss of appetite.

· You have completely lost control over your alcohol drinking.

· You want to stop drinking alcohol but simply cannot.

· Your alcohol addiction has caused you to give up other things in your life - hanging out with friends or family, taking part in hobbies or sports as a direct result of your alcohol drinking and abuse.

· You continue drinking alcohol even though you recognize that it is causing
problems.

The Options for Alcohol Addiction

If you, or someone close to you is showing any of the above signs of alcohol addiction then the next logical step is to get help - but what help is available? What are the options?

· Alcoholic's Anonymous meetings are often an important step on the road to living in recovery from alcohol addiction. While these meetings may be the only necessary option for people displaying the earliest signs of alcohol abuse, it is not always intensive enough to deal with alcohol addiction when other types of treatment may also be necessary.

· Inpatient treatment for alcohol addiction is one of the most intense recovery programs available. Entering a residential treatment program not only takes the alcoholic away from their normal lives into a sober, drug free environment with around the clock therapy and care, it also removes any temptation and allows the alcoholic to concentrate solely on getting their lives back on the road to recovery. There is normal life after alcohol addiction but it may be a long and difficult path.

· Outpatient treatment for alcohol addiction is another type of program which might work very well for many alcoholics. This is particularly suitable for people who either cannot afford the increased cost of an inpatient treatment program or finds it impossible to leave their old lives behind for any length of time. Some alcoholics manage to hold down work, look after their families, etc. and it may be impossible for them to book into a residential program for any length of time.

· Relapse prevention programs are an important step for any recovering alcoholic in order to help them to return to living a healthy, active, productive life. Alcoholic's Anonymous meetings very often form an important part of this part of the recovery from alcohol addiction.

Business Networking Fashion Tips: How to Dress to Impress

Often, people are confused about what attire is acceptable for business networking, meetings, interview, and other events. In order to make a good and lasting impression on clients and potential business partners, it's paramount to dress appropriately. It goes without saying that professionals have to dress to impress, as there is a belief that first impressions last.

It's also vital for women to know how to dress appropriately to compete in the business world. Corporate attire for women should be conservative, feminine, and well-fitted. For women to dress to impress, women must consider this guide:

TAILORED CLOTHING

Tailored clothing always look professional. Investing in several pieces of interchangeable tailored outfits is more worth it than purchasing many poor quality pieces.

PANTS & SUITS

Button-up shirts topped with button-down jackets are also great combinations.

SHOES

Pick a colour that compliments your outfit. Never wear stilettos at business meetings, interviews, or presentations. Heels must not be higher than 1 1/2 inches. See to it that your shoes are well polished and the heels are intact. Also, do not wear open toed shoes.

STOCKINGS

If you like to wear stockings, remember that contrasting colour, printed, and opaque stockings do not appear professional. You will never go wrong with black, brown, gray, and skin tone stockings.

PERFUME & JEWELRIES

Jewelry should always be simple. If you have body piercing, remember that one on each ear is appropriate. Anything beyond that oftentimes does not convey professionalism. Also, you should avoid dangling and hoop earrings. Do not wear more than one watch, two finger rings, and one bracelet. When you want to wear perfume, make sure the fragrant is light and not offensive.

HAIR & MAKE UP

Make up should be subtle. If you are wearing heavy lip make up, keep you eye make up bare or light. On the other hand, when you are wearing hevy eye make up, keep you lip make up bare or light. Hair should be tied up neatly. If you prefer to wear your hair down, make sure it's still neat and does not obscure your eyes in any way. If you like to style your hair, make sure it is simple and formal.

Outpatient treatment can be a very successful tool to help patients conquer their addiction problems. Some people do not have the time, the capacity, the will, or the money to move fully into an inpatient treatment program for an extended period of time, leaving their families and loved ones to fend for themselves in the outside world. Some people respond quite successfully to an outpatient treatment program and do not require the confines of a residential program.

So how does it all work? What is the true difference between inpatient and outpatient treatment?

Basically, both types of addiction treatment programs work in the same way with the same types of therapy. Both types of treatment have similar expectations of the patients and similar rules which must be adhered to in order to achieve the success of the program. Just one (obvious) example is that clients must remain clean and sober while they are participating in any type of therapy program. It is also imperative that patients attend the necessary therapy sessions regularly in order to be included in future therapy sessions - a rule that is much more easily to adhere to if you are participating in a residential treatment program.

For some people, outpatient treatment is the only real option they have. The benefits of this type of addiction treatment program include:

· Patients in an outpatient treatment program are still free to engage in their normal daily activities while going through the treatment program. Outpatient programs are much less obtrusive, meaning that participants can still work and live at home with their family and friends.

· People who have a particularly strong and independent streak react predominantly well to outpatient treatment programs. These people can sometimes feel confined and constricted in a residential program following the rules 24 hours a day and reporting directly to therapists about every single minute of their day. Some patients are actually helped by the fact that they are strong enough to stay sober in an independent environment which spurs them on to feel stronger and encourages them to feel in control of themselves and their situations. Nothing breeds success like success.

· Some patients who have been involved with an inpatient treatment program move onto outpatient treatments at the end of their program. In these instances the outpatient program is used as a part of the relapse prevention which is put in place to help addicts who have completed a residential treatment program to successfully re-integrate back into their previous lives.

No matter which type of drug or alcohol addiction program you choose, the end goal is always the same-to help an individual to abstain from using alcohol or drugs for the rest of their lives and to live their life in successful recovery. Living a drug free, alcohol free, self sufficient life is the goal of all programs.

Outpatient treatment programs involve the addict regularly attending the clinic throughout the week for counseling and education programs. Some will only last for a few hours, a few days each week; others will require the addict to stay for the full day several times a week. Treatment plans depend greatly upon the clinic and the individual treatment program which is recommended for each patient. The all-day programs are a much more intense type of program and are sometimes required for those patients who would benefit from an inpatient treatment program but for some reason are not able to commit to one.

As with all drug or alcohol addiction programs there is no "one size fits all" approach, and it is important that the health clinic determine the best course of action for each individual patient. Many different services are available at an outpatient treatment center including:

· Individual therapy, which gives the patient the chance to talk and be heard by an individual therapist who can really communicate with the patient about their specific addiction problems.

· Group therapy is a very important part of many outpatient treatment programs. The attendees in this type of therapy session can really support and learn from each other and their own experiences. This can make a big difference in the overall success of the program.

· Alcohol and drug education is another important step. If patients can really begin to understand the roots of the problems, they are much better equipped to deal with them.

· Spirituality group. This type of therapy is another vital service which is often used in outpatient treatment programs.

Common Abuse

As a child, I was on the receiving end of what I call 'Common Abuse'. It was not anything sensational or headline grabbing. I don't believe that my experience was anything special or unusual, which made it all the more disturbing. I believe that this type of abuse has gone on for hundreds, maybe thousands of years in most cultures around the world. I also believe it's the stimulus for much human unhappiness.

What exactly am I talking about? Let me give you an example that may appear trivial and inconsequential. I think it's significant. Imagine it's a winter's day, and, as an adult, you know that it's cold outside. You are going out with your young child who is, say, 3 or 4, able and keen to walk. Inside, the central heating has been on and it's warm. You say to your child, 'Come and put your coat on because it's cold outside'. Your child refuses because s/he is warm. You insist. (You probably know where this is going, yes?). What I'm predicting is that a well-rehearsed 'drama' will unfold in this situation. And this 'drama' may escalate into a conflict (a likely outcome of the scenario above) or a collapse, when one person or the other 'gives in'. The youngster appears to only have 2 ways to behave. Rebellion or compliance.

So what might s/he learn from this? Well, with such experiences being repeated, based on a belief that 'the adult knows best', I'd say that the child learns to rely upon another person to make decisions for them, learns how to avoid taking responsibility for their actions and learns to mistrust their own judgement about what is best for them.

'So what do I do in the 'coat' situation then?' I hear you cry. 'Do I allow my child to just do as they please?' Not at all. You know more than the child, granted. But I'd say that they have a valid reason for saying no to wearing the coat at the time you are asking them. They're warm right now. Now, with your wisdom as an adult, you know that the chances are that within a few minutes of going out, your child will feel the cold and want to wear the coat. You've taken the coat, right? So now's the time to acknowledge what the child is feeling and needing and, hey presto! On goes the coat without any bother. Using this approach, you exercise your wisdom and your understanding so that everyone 'wins'. And I can only imagine, if repeated in a thousand different ways over many years, the positive effect on the child's opinion of themselves, their self worth, their value, as well as the type of relationship that you have with them for the rest of life.

Just one final question. What was your attitude when helping the child on with their coat? Were you saying the equivalent of 'I told you so - you have to listen to me in future. etc.?', which actually means, 'I was right and you were wrong'). Of course, this approach, when repeated time and time again, creates a way of relating between adult and child that has the sort of impact on the child's view of themselves that no adult wants. This approach, based on exerting power over another person, is one of the 3 ways that Common Abuse is learned, practiced and passed on from generation to generation, with the discontent and distress it causes. My future articles will describe these 3 approaches more fully and how to communicate to get the type of relationships we long for.

Diet Menus And Plans - Revisiting The Abdos Diet

The Abdos Diet was created by two journalists for Men's Health magazine David Zinczenko and Ted Spiker. This diet focuses on three important points: nutrition, physical activity, and motivation. It is meant for both men and women in good health who want to build their muscles. During the six weeks of this diet you may lose up to 9 kilograms (20 pounds). Unlike many other diets, the Abdos diet requires a solid schedule of physical activities including muscle development exercises, cardiovascular exercises, and exercises to strengthen their abdomen.

The Abdos Diet gives a central place to the following foods: Proteins, because they appease hunger and favor muscle gains. The recommended sources of protein include turkey, beef, fish, tofu, and nuts. Fats help produce testosterone. Polyunsaturated fats such as omega-3 (found in fish) protect the heart from cardiovascular diseases. Monounsaturated fats, because they can lower the rate of bad cholesterol. These fats can be found in various nuts, in olive oil, in colza oil, in peanuts, and in avocados.

Glucides are necessary for your nutrition. Make sure to eat foods rich in glucides with a low glycemic index (specifying the rate at which foods are transformed into glucose). They are digested slowly, and so provide energy for several hours. The best glucides are found in fruits, vegetables, dried beans, and whole cereals. Calcium, found mostly in dairy products, strengthens the bones and reduces the risk of excessive weight.

Do not calculate your calorie consumption. Instead eat according to what your appetite tells you. But we will see below, mealtimes are strictly defined. Measure your waist and your weight every two weeks. Women should keep a record of their menstruations and both and men should measure their body fat. Don't drink alcohol but drink smoothies instead. They may even replace the occasional meal.

Here is a sample menu: Breakfast is a strawberry smoothie made with soy milk and oatmeal flakes. The mid-morning snack consists of sliced raw vegetables and two teaspoons of peanut butter. For lunch enjoy a tuna salad with tomatoes and two little rolls. The mid-afternoon snack is sliced raw vegetables and low-fat cheese. For supper try a pepper steak accompanied by brown rice. Your recommended evening snack is an apple and 30 grams (about 2 ounces) of almonds. Unlike many other diets this one specifies the times when you should be eating: Breakfast is at 8 in the morning, the first snack is at 11, lunch is at 1 in the afternoon, snack number 2 is at 4, supper comes at 6, and your final snack should be at 8 pm.

A lot of people these days automatically think that healthy living is all about depriving yourself of foods that you love. Want another hint? Get rid of candy and sugar in general. This may seem like an extremely tough thing to do, but it really isn't that difficult. There are different low cal sweeteners that can be used to make a delightful hot chocolate to replace that candy bar you were about to eat. Alternately, try a piece of fruit.

One other thing you should do if you wish to begin living healthy is to make certain you get enough sleep every night. Your general health will suffer if you fail to get sufficient sleep. But by getting a full 8 hours sleep, you can really improve your healthmake your health better. When we are sleep disadvantaged, 6 hours or less a night, we're less upbeat and less alert. When we get our full 8 hours, we're more pleasant to be with and everything just seems to go well.

Obviously, you don't need to make any significant alterations to your everyday routine or diet to attain a healthier lifestyle. You only have to make the decision to do them.

When Law of Attraction Fails

Hybrid cars are coming out of the floors and ceilings these days. While I'm still excited (and still waiting) for the Scorpion, that incredible hydrogen-gas super exotic car being made for me, I'm also keeping my eyes open for other green auto innovations. When Porsche announced its 918 Spyder, a battery-gas hybrid futuristic super car, the entire car world sat up and took notice, including me.

The thing is, the car might be an illusion.

After the Porsche 918 hit the cover of many magazines, including Automotive, I went looking for it. According to one article, if Porsche got 1,000 firm orders for the car, they'd make it.

That surprised me.

Wasn't the car already made?

Wasn't a thousand orders thinking small (for Porsche)?

Anyway, I wanted to be one of those buyers. I went online and searched. I couldn't find a single site where I could place my order. Weird.

I called a Porsche rep in Houston I met recently. He had no idea how to order the car and barely knew as much as I did about it.

I contacted Porsche in Austin. An upbeat salesperson there called me back. He had seen me on the cover of Austin Fit magazine and remembered me and the Scorpion (below). But he was in the dark about the Porsche 918.

Meanwhile, I went online to the Porsche corporate site and sent emails to every manager I could find.

No one wrote me back.

Then a friend forwarded an article to me about Porsche now having 900 orders for their new car. I was frustrated.

How are those 900 people placing their orders?

I decided to write the reporter who wrote the article. He instantly wrote me back, giving me two key contacts within Porsche HQ's itself.

I wrote both of them.

I gave each my office phone, private mobile phone, and my email address.

So far, neither has written back.

What am I to make of this?

Maybe Porsche is just photo-shopping a car into existence to drum up publicity for their other hybrids coming out in a few months.

Maybe Porsche is like so many big corporations, just not communicating with all their other departments.

Maybe I'm not supposed to have the Porsche 918 hybrid.

I have to admit that from a Law of Attraction standpoint, the latter explanation seems to make more sense.

But why?

Let's dig into this a bit…

I've said many times that the meaning you give an event is the belief that attracted it.

If I declare that the new Porsche isn't for me, then that's the belief that attracted this scenario. It has nothing to do with Porsche. It has everything to do with me.

Again, as I've said and written many times, and recorded in such audio programs as The Secret to Attracting Money, the meaning you give an event is the belief that attracted it.

What was the meaning I gave this event?

What did it mean that I was/am having trouble placing an order for the Porsche 918?

I had to really think about this. The answer wasn't instantly there. But after a little reflection, there it was.

Truth is, I'm still excited and eager to finally receive the Scorpion. While the wait has been seemingly forever -- they've been telling me "thirty days" for years now -- the car is worth the wait.

I'll have the second one they make. It'll be an honor, a collectible, and a historic moment - on the level of owning one of the few Tucker cars in existence.

In short, the Law of Attraction is always working - just not on the conscious level you may have thought.

You have to remember that what looks like failure could be a message - a message from the Divine/unconscious - about what you really want, about what you really believe, and/or about what the Universe wants for you.

This all boils down to trust.

While I could muscle my way into ordering the Porsche 918 - by maybe flying to Porsche company headquarters and handing them my order - it's clear I'm getting a different signal.

All these bumps and blocks aren't there by accident. They aren't saying Law of Attraction doesn't work. Instead, it's working just fine.

Don't blame gravity when you trip and fall. It's working. You weren't watching where you were going.

Don't blame Law of Attraction when you don't get what you want. It's working, too. You're simply getting what you unconsciously want.

As always, the whole idea here is to awaken.

Awaken to our inner power, our inner Divinity, and maybe our inner race car.

PS - While writing this very blog post, my server went off line and lost my writing, which wasn't completed with the ending insight above, but was still important. It gave me pause. I wondered why it seemed like I couldn't even write about not attracting the Porsche 918. Then I realized, again, that I really want the Scorpion. Once I got the lesson, I no longer needed the experience. The blog returned. The Porsche 918 remains a ghost. The Scorpion will appear when it appears (or something better will). All is well. Life continues. And I have plenty of other cars to drive anyway. So there.

When you were born you had only two fears and those are the fear of falling and the fear of loud noises. The rest was learned and programmed into your mind. For many the fear of success is actually the fear of failure. It is time to change your mind, life and habits. So look at what you want out of life? I wanted to help my family and keep them safe. In order to do this I needed to make more money. Not only to make more money but to gain a passive income that would allow me to become financially free. Most of use are tied down to a miserable job, horrible boss and are always wanting/needing to make more money. Working extra hours, extra jobs will make more money but your quality of life will decrease. So my solution was to gain passive income but I needed help. My dream was to collect money in my email, bank accounts without ever having to leave the house. Working on 1-2hrs a day on the computer and the rest spent on doing what I love most and that is is spending time with my family.

My greatest decision in life was when I decided to obtain passive income. I had a small taste of freedom without any limitations. Taking care of my family without worry and being able to value my time with my own choices and not the choices of others. Freedom is the ultimate Goal. So Passive income makes more money and allows you the freedom to live your life of happiness.
