Where do you go well with in this circle of life? Do you make a difference to the life of another person or to the world as a whole? Do you think your decisions can make an impact to your life? There are times when you may ask yourself what the purpose of life is. It could make you feel discontented not knowing what you are supposed to do or may even make you feel trapped in a life that makes you feel like you only exist.
But how do you find your purpose in life? Do you just wait for it to come in a moment of clarity? Do you aggressively seek it out through different experiences that reflect your interests? To help you recognize your true purpose in life, consider the following steps.
Look inward and gain a broader perspective. There is great wisdom and illumination in focusing in, rather than actively seeking out what the world can offer you. Self-reflection, very often, reveals values, interests, and inclinations you might not have thought about but were actually deep within you all along, just waiting to be recognized and nurtured. So take a step back from the things that you thought were necessary to discovering your life's purpose. Get a larger perspective on things. Take time to reflect. Listen to that internal voice.
Find meaning in life by giving yourself to something of value. Albert Einstein once said, "Nothing truly valuable arises from ambition or from a mere sense of duty; it stems rather from love and devotion towards men and towards objective things." Direct your energies toward something good, something honorable, something compassionate; something that will hopefully change the world if only through one good deed at a time. When you sense that your life serves something of value, the path to discovering your purpose will become clearer.
Examine your life's choices and learn from your experiences. The successes and failures in your life reveal how in synch you are with your true purpose. Let your experiences tell you whether you are on the right path by asking some essential questions. Why are you chasing after what you are chasing (money, success, marriage, etc.)? What would you regret not doing or having in your life? What helps you believe in or connect to something so strongly? Answer truthfully and you will eventually be led to your life's true purpose.
Pursue your purpose with love and determination. Once you discover what it is that you are meant to do in this world, seek it with love and ensure its realization. You can do this by introducing life-affirming energy in your life and by signing up for self-improvement courses for women.
Not everyone is lucky enough to discover one's purpose in life early on. But you should not fret when you have not yet figured it out -- even in your old age. For according to English novelist George Elliot (Marie Anne Evans), "It is never too late to become what you might have been." So look inward. Find meaning through compassion. Study your experiences. And pursue your life's true purpose with love and resolve.
