He said focus on process, not perfection.
He said he doesn't care to avoid death, that he instead wants us to live long enough to complete our life mission.
He said he's seen dramatic transformation right after people take total self responsibility.
He said he's seen 225% better results in achieving goals when people have group support.
He said lives transform after people experience forgiveness and let go of resentment.
Of course, Bill's seen these transformations firsthand and been the catalyst for a staggering amount of them. Not a few hundred, but a few hundred thousand.
His earlier book, Body For Life, influenced a million people. His later book, Eating For Life, is still a bestseller. His latest book, Transformation, is picking up where his earlier work left off.
I'm used to Bill's evidence based approach to proving his methods. I still recall flipping through the pages of his popular magazine from a decade ago, Muscle Media. It was packed with pages and pages of before and after photos of people who had dramatically transformed their bodies and their lives, in only twelve weeks. Bill's gym in Denver, Colorado also has before/after pictures.
The evidence that change is possible is overwhelming.
Today Bill focuses on a more all encompassing transformation. Health and fitness are still a focus, but not the only ones. He's less concerned about muscle building and more focused on inner life building. His whole being approach to transformation is about taking control of your entire life, not just what you see in the mirror.
And today Bill is offering it on a smaller scale. Once a month he personally trains, inspires, and guides thirty people in his Transformation Center in Denver. Every weekend camp sells out in advance. Besides the three day intensive, Bill's team offers ongoing support by email and on Facebook for another twelve weeks.
It's clear to me that Bill is on a life mission. He doesn't appear to care about financial reward. He cares about you. And me. He's donated over two million dollars to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. This is a man who cares about people.
And that's why I joined his Transformation Camp three weeks ago. I'm going to respect the privacy of the thirty people in the weekend with me and Bill. I'm not going to describe our experiences. They were personal, and my group is now a support team. I love them.
Let's just say that when I walked in the door for the first day of Transformation, and was met with Bill's sister making me pancakes, I knew I was in the right place. (They were protein pancakes, tasted delicious, and the recipe is in the book, Eating For Life.)
But let's go back to the questions I asked about how people change. Since the other questions were answered in this post, let's just look at the key one: How can you transform?
There are five key steps to transformation:
A decision. You "demand" transformation by choosing it. Your conscious intent to go in a new direction redirects your life flow and aims you where you want to go. It all begins here.
A plan. You control circumstances when you are prepared for them. Having information on what to do, how and when, will guide you down the path to transformation.
A vision. A clear picture of the end result you want will help you attract it into your life. A great way to accelerate that transformation is to step into the end vision and live from it right now, today.
A why. The more reasons you have for wanting transformation, the better and faster will be the results.
A support team. When someone believes in you, odds are you will boost your own opinion of yourself. When you are in a group of people who want your transformation as much if not more than you do, you will go in the direction of speedy transformation.
Finally, let's hear from Bill Phillips -
"No matter who you are, no matter what you do, you absolutely, positively do have the power to change, and no one can take that away."
The path is clear for you or anyone to begin their own transformation.
It all begins with step one -- a decision.
What's yours?

Love Yourself So You Can Love Others
It is easy for some people to feel frustrated when loving but not being loved in return. They feel empty once their love is not reciprocated because they are expecting other people to fill that emptiness. However, this is not how life works. They should not depend on love from an external source. Instead, love should begin from within them. They should learn how to love themselves first and gain self-respect. In doing so, they will have love that they can share with others. Here are some ways on how to love yourself.
- Appreciate the things that you have.
Blessings come in different forms such as good health, material wealth, and happy relationships. People should not compare what they have with what others possess. Instead, they should appreciate the blessings that come their way.
- Always look on the bright side.
Everyone has his or her ups and downs. Everything happens for a reason. People who do not get what they want should think of it this way: Something better is in store for them.
- Let go of the past.
Most people have difficulty in letting go of the past. This holds them back from moving on and achieving the goals they want to pursue. The first step to letting go is accepting everything that has happened, both the good and the bad. Everyone deserves a fresh start. After acknowledging all the grief and disappointments, they should work hard at putting the past behind them.
- Learn how to forgive yourself.
It is just natural for people to make mistakes, and instead of feeling bad about what they did, they should learn how to forgive themselves. The best thing people can do is learn from their mistakes and find ways to prevent them from happening again.
- Do things that make you happy.
Some people, by nature, want to make other people happy. Parents buy toys for their kids. Wives serve their husbands. Employees accomplish their tasks to please their boss. For a change, people should do something for themselves like going shopping, watching a movie, or enrolling in a dance class. This way they will feel some sense of fulfillment and self-love.
- Be physically active.
Some people will be surprised to know what some forms of exercise can do for them. It may be walking with the dog, playing badminton, dancing with friends or swimming. Exercise allows the body to release chemicals that boost a person's sense of well-being and reduce stress and anxiety. In short, it makes him or her feel happy and energized.
- Be true to yourself.
People should not try to be who they are not. They have their own unique qualities that make them special. So, they should not be afraid of how others perceive them. By being happy with who they really are, they show a positive aura, and exude confidence that attracts others towards them.
- Do deeds of kindness.
Share what you have with others, whether it is your knowledge, service, or something material. Doing deeds such as donating to charity, sharing one's ideas with others, or helping at a church makes a person feel good inside.
Overview
People do not have to go on yearning for others to fill the void in their lives. By having a "love yourself first" attitude, they will be able to develop love in their lives and share this with others.

3 Ways to Renew Your Zest for Life
For less stress and more zest, try recharging a few minutes every day, so the cumulative effect of everyday stress doesn't take its toll…on your performance, your relationships, or your health. Here are a few tips that will help you refuel, and get you restoring your focus, confidence, and energy fast.
Rest from Your Physical Routine
The longer and more continuously you work, the less efficient and mistake-prone you become. Key to being your best during the work day is taking short breaks (10-15 minutes) every 90-120 minutes. How you spend those breaks is individual to you, and you'll want to come up with your own recovery rituals. If you're feeling stressed, a few yoga moves can be quite renewing. If you need socialization, go visit a colleague or call your best friend. Whether it's getting a shoeshine in the lobby of your building or taking a walk around the block, the point is to get away from your desk, think about something else besides your impending deadline, and get some physical and mental recovery.
You'll find that you come back renewed and refreshed and, very often, able to think more clearly and creatively.
Do More of the Things You Love
Emotional renewal is just as important. When our days are filled with "must do's," we feel resentful and tapped out, and we wonder if life is nothing more than a succession of tasks and obligations. To achieve the emotional recovery our lives need, it's necessary to make "joyful activities" a priority, whether it's ballroom dancing with your spouse, art class, or just spending some quality time with your dog. Do more of the things which will make you happy - and not just help you earn more money.
Every day should include at least one joyful activity that renews us and energizes us and reminds us that life, however finite, is a gift, and that we must cherish every moment of it.
Say Goodbye To Your Junk
There's a bunch of crappy stuff that's junking up your life. Deal with it and then get rid of it once and for all. Whatever has been weighing you down… get it off of your shoulders. Stop being so darn serious. Get real about it. Deal with it. Then be done with it. One of the best ways to renew your outlook in your otherwise-tiring life is to finally get rid of your problems. Instead of dodging them, why not finally have the guts to face them and find real and lasting solutions? If your relationship has become more of a source of heartache instead of joy, then you know it's time to break free. If it's your job which has been stealing you away from the joy of being with your family, then resign, and find another job which will give you more quality time with your family. If your neighbor keeps you awake the whole night, then it's time to confront them and tell them to stop bothering you. Only until you have gotten rid of all of the things that make your life worrisome and weary-worthy will you be able to realize that there's actually more to life than the things you have gotten used to.

Advice To Help Your Personal Development Goals
You are looking to be a better person. Personal development is essential not only to oneself and their loved ones, but also to the overall success of the society that they live in. The advice provided in this article is for anybody that cares about themselves and the people around them.
To help deal with your depression, try going into a support group for depression. When getting into a group with other people affected by the same condition you are, it can help reduce your sense of isolation. You can also use these groups to provide support for others and give them your own advice with how to cope, along with sharing your own experiences.
Remove artificially-sweetened products with aspartame from your diet. Aspartame, contained in Equal and NutraSweet, is responsible for blocking serotonin formation, causing insomnia, headaches, and blue moods in people who already have some serotonin depletion. For a natural sweetener that does not affect serotonin, blood sugar or calorie levels, try stevia.
If you are working towards a goal to better yourself, just picture yourself at the end of the journey. As an example, if you wish to lose weight, you don't keep repeating to yourself that you are fat. In fact, you should visualize and repeat to yourself that you are slim. Having positive thoughts will lead you to your goals quicker than putting yourself down.
Learn as much you can about what is troubling you. Educate yourself. It might seem obvious, but surprisingly few people actually take the time to sit down and study the things that are upsetting them or the factors that could be exacerbating matters. Taking the time to study up on these things can make a huge difference.
Always challenge yourself. If everything in life were easy, nobody would grow, improve or change. Challenges and adversity are the keys to growing as a person. Try doing something that you are afraid of. The feeling of confidence in yourself when you conquer your fears can push you to new heights.
Time management is key to living a well-balanced life. There are always more things to do in a day than there is time for those things. You have to be selective and you have to be confident in choosing what to do with your time. Have goals, make plans and when the unexpected happens, embrace it if its something that makes you happy. You must practice time management.
Personal development can be very refreshing, but it can also be a lot of work. Regardless, if you know what to do and how to achieve your goals realistically, you become the person you want. So, do yourself a favor by doing your research and applying the above tips to your personal development.
Value all of the choices that you make. Turn those choices into chances to improve who you are. The more we value, the more we will achieve. If something is valuable to you, you will be willing to do everything you can to make sure you keep that in your life.

Focused Attention: Mindfulness Courses And Their Magnificent Benefits
When you are bombarded with constant distractions of the modern technology era, it is really a bit challenging to actually ?be in the moment.? There's your smartphone that keeps ringing for a meeting reminder. There's your pile of several projects needing to beat the deadlines. There's the news on TV, the unending stream of posts on your social networking page, the emails needing immediate replies, etc. With all these, your mind is constantly stimulated. Therefore, just in what way can you achieve being in the moment despite all these external intrusions? Why don't you consider taking mindfulness courses now?
Mindfulness is about focusing your attention to what is happening in the here and now, and with kindness to yourself and to your experience. By locking out the external intrusions that occur around you everyday, from people talking on their phones in the train to answering an instant message from your boss while you finish a presentation, you are able to train your brain and achieve mental clarity. But mindfulness is not just about simple meditation.
According to Jon Kabat-Zinn, an MIT-trained molecular biologist and founding director of the Stress Reduction Clinic and the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care, and Society, the latest research on mindfulness has discovered it is possible to practice paying attention in systematic ways that change the way a brain is wired, the way it functions, and its very structure, in methods that could enhance wellbeing, clarity and multiple intelligences. Indeed, mindfulness training would be an advantage if you were to take up action learning sessions, where you learn about problem-solving strategies.
Kabat-Zinn further notes that with science and meditation teaming up, it is believed that the brain is an organ that can actually change in relation to what a person experiences.
The power of mindfulness practice so astonishes that even the Parliament is talking about using it as therapy for unemployment and depression. The U.S. military has been using mindfulness training for marines who are about to be deployed. And Harvard teaches the principles and practice of mindfulness leadership. This can only mean that mindfulness training would also work well along with organisational development methods like AI or appreciative inquiry, wherein businesses look for what it does well in order to initiate positive change.
Mindfulness programmes can help you achieve a level of attention that enables greater self-awareness, reduced anxiety and stress, increased vitality, more emotional balance and less volatility, enhanced relationships, and many other positive effects.

Three Things That Prevent People From Being Successful
We might wonder why some people do not achieve success despite having the opportunity, ability or education. Even though they seem to have good intentions and they seem to be working in the right way, success appears to elude them. While there can be a number of things that prevent people from being successful, they might be missing one or all these three crucial elements.
* Lack of a definite goal
* Lack of commitment
* Lack of self-belief
Lack of a Definite Goal
If you do not have any real goals, then you will tend to drift and let life take care of itself. Of course, there are some things you have to do: get out of bed; get to work; keep yourself clean; pay the rent; buy the groceries, but they are not life goals. These are necessary parts of living. Goals project beyond everyday living and give you a greater purpose.
Whether it is to save a deposit to buy a house, take a European trip or be the top of your department or company, you will have to act in a certain way. Goals determine how you act and how you lead your life. That's why success in any part of your life depends on the goals you set. You will then be driven to act in ways that will help bring them about.
Lack Of Commitment
You need to work consistently at getting what you want, but you will only work at something that is important to you. The more you want it the harder you will work at it. Your goals need to create some feelings of excitement and determination to make you do what you have to do to reach them. There has to be an emotional response. If you do not feel excited or determined to change your life to what you want it to be, then you will not be committed to doing what you have to do.
Lack Of Self-Belief
Studies have shown that many children lose confidence when they go into primary school, where they find they are not good at some subjects. Then, as they meet their peers or adults who pull them down, they can suffer further loss of self-belief. In addition to that, most of us have an accumulation of experiences that says we cannot do some things because we tried and failed. It's no wonder we can lack self-belief in some areas of our life.
However, as we are now adults, we can do something about this. There are plenty of tools to helps us re-build our confidence, our belief in ourselves. As adults, we do not have to accept we are the way we are, and we cannot change it. We know we can be whatever we want to be. If we are not happy with our life, we can change it - people are doing it all the time.
While your idea of success may not be the same as mine, the great thing is it does not matter. Each of us can work towards our own success and use the many tools available to change our thinking by reprogramming our mind. We have the power to eliminate the elements that prevent people from being successful. We simply need the will to use them.

One of the most renowned fashion houses all over the world is that of Dolce & Gabbana. The brand certainly is considered a trailblazer in the designer eyewear industry. D&G sunglasses clearly resonate classic elegance and sophisticated tastes. Their frames are definitely noted for being the embodiment of glamour and charm. Without a doubt, they are great accessories for enhancing your personal style.
This popular top-end brand has established a reputation for remarkable design and excellent quality. The combined genius of the fashion house's founders and namesakes executed with impeccable Italian craftsmanship produces masterpieces that are very much in demand all over the world among the most meticulous and celebrated fashionistas.
Dolce & Gabbana's recent eyewear line boasts the style and aesthetics of Sicilian Baroque. D&G sunglasses come in a winning package of timeless beauty and optical function. The designs featured in this collection pay homage to the romance entwined with both the region and the period. Eyewear has never looked so good with elaborate gilded frescoes, laces, and foliage swirling in a suggestion of opulence and vintage charm.
Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses are considered timeless and any pair is considered an investment. You can use them for many, many years to come. They may even turn into heirlooms to be passed down from generation to generation in your family. Any D&G eyewear is a practical purchase. In fact, many use their own pair fitted with prescription lenses as reading glasses or spectacles like varifocals. Strolling up and down the busy streets, you know your D&G pair is never out of style and will always draw admiring glances from the fashion-savvy individuals you encounter.
Understandably, designer items are often beyond the average person's means. Unless you're the heiress to some large fortune, you'll have to stop yourself from succumbing to many of your urges to indulge in high-end signature shopping. However, there are ways to acquire these designer brands without having to give up your arm or leg. For instance, buying online typically means being able to avail of designer items at a much lower price. Those who exclusively conduct their business online have a smaller overhead cost and this usually translates into lower prices as well. Besides the cheaper merchandise, the sheer convenience of online shopping is definitely another perk. Shipping within the country is also usually free, so there isn't even need to pay for that. If this is the course you take, be sure to only do business with established and reputable online shops.

How To Get Ahead - Some New Ideas For Your Personal Development
When it comes to helping yourself, it is important to do what you can to better yourself and your life. That is where knowing self-help techniques comes in handy. They can help you improve your life and yourself. Follow these tips to turn your life around and make it better.
If you avoid making decisions, then you are denying yourself opportunities. Never back down from an opportunity. If you lack knowledge about a specific area, you should still be willing to make the most informed decision you can with the information at hand. Great decisions encourage sharp instincts. Bad decisions have value though because they are experiences that teach lessons. If you make a wrong move, you will know next time to do something different.
Don't be afraid of change. Many people have a well-founded fear of change. After all, why change something if you are comfortable? The problem is, the world is constantly changing, whether we change with it or not. Instead of seeking out a comfort zone, embrace change. Learn from it and soon you will be able to adapt to anything the world throws at you!
Don't just fill your mind with facts. It's one thing to learn the steps to a process, and entirely another to feel them as they become integrated into your being. An idea must sit in your mind and undergo digestion and analytical thought before you can benefit fully from the information you have taken in.
Always try to improve yourself and your work. If you feel that you can be a better person or that something you do or work on could be better, then strive to apply that to the next tasks. By constantly trying to do better, you are trying to become a better person and a harder worker.
Try to avoid potential triggers. Many people have specific things that trigger their poor moods or episodes. To avoid unnecessary stress and anxiety, try to avoid the trigger. Stay out of situations that might upset you. Try to resist visiting websites or forums that might contain content that could upset you.
Another thing you can consider when you are trying to better yourself, your career and your perspectives and outlooks on life is to live life for yourself! Do not consider what other people may want you to do, say or act as this inhibits your own individual growth on so many levels.
Sometimes getting help is something beyond ourselves. In cases like this it would behoove you to visit a licensed healthcare professional, like a psychologist. Through years of expereince they have learned to help people just like yourself cope with difficult situations. Do not think you can solve it all on your own, see a psychologist.
As you can see from the previous list of tips, helping yourself can really make a difference in the overall quality of your life. It takes a lot of work, a lot of battling personal bad habits, and tons of patience, but it is all worth it in the end to live a happier, healthier life.

Create. Want a smaller-looking waist? Look for a one-piece swimsuit with a V-neck halter so it creates an illusion of a tighter waist. Diagonal cuts would also work to minimise a wider mid-section while belted swimsuits lend a shapely figure. If you are looking to add a cup size or two up top, consider bikini tops with ruffles or pleating as such details can add bulk. If you are not too keen on ruffles, go for bright colours, patterns, or tops with padded cups to create cleavage.

The key is to look for details, colours, and styles that celebrate your best features and play down less flattering areas. Heed These Four Tips for Fruitful Dating
If you are worried that it's too difficult to get a man drawn to you, and then have that attraction turn into a marriage commitment, have no worry. Acquiring love is easier if you practice some key pieces of advice. Check out these proven tips below:
Tip #1: Be The Person You Want Him to Be:
You can only attain this end if you really recognize exactly what you want. When you figure out what it is you are attracted to, start displaying those characteristics in yourself. What will happen is the Law of Attraction will take over, and you will begin to attract the very same attributes that you are attracted to.
What does it take to identify what you really want? WelllSee the following...
• Say you are attracted to men with a super sense of humor and really good listeners. If you want this, then you have to assume a great sense of humor and become a really good listener.
• If you want a person who is loyal and truthful, then you have to show those traits yourself in your dealings with others.
What you want in your mate is what you have to be prepared to be. Once you figure this out, you'll start attracting the perfect mate.
Tip #2: Don't Squander Your Time With The Wrong Guy :
You don't have to date every guy out there until you find the right one. This will just set you up for disappointment. Rather, decide what exactly you want in a match and stick to your values. Here are some things you should think about:
• Can you recognize some things that, no matter what, you will not be able to sacrifice?
• Are there some things not quite as important that you can give in on?
• How important to you is honesty?
• What will happen if he lies?
• Do you like masculine or sensitive?
• Do you prefer strong and athletic, or well educated and experienced?
• Are children a deal breaker?
This is just a preview list. Sit down and think of your own must haves and not so important haves. Knowing what you want will spare you time and heartache.
Tip #3: Don't ever take less!
It's OK to be choosy when it comes to your life companion.
Why should you even think about of settling for somebody that does not satisfy your criteria? If you accept less than what you really want, you'll only regret it in the future.
So stop spending your sweet time in relationships that won't satisfy you. Your heart will tell you if he's the right guy for you. You can't will it to happen.
Your odds of finding lasting love will be better if you first decide what it is you want.
Final Tip:
We can easily mislead ourselves into blowing our best years on a guy who was never suitable from the start. When you consider the investment of time, it's all the more easy to continue to remain in the wrong relationship. There's no happy ending with this situation.
If, from the onset, you determine what you can and can't take from a potential mate, you'll ultimately find yourself attracting him. Let any man go if he can't make the cut. Move forward to find the one who can live up to your standards.
Finding the perfect mate is not too hard if you approach it realistically. Eliminate those that don't meet your standards until you find the one who does. You'll eventually strike gold!

Tips And Guidelines In Choosing Stylish And Effective Eyewear
One of the brands that have been known to cater to some of the world's most recognizable names is Lindberg. Although the business began modestly in Arhus with Lindberg Optik in 1969, it was able to provide quality set of glasses to Robert de Niro, Bill Gates, Jeff Koons, Danish royalty. The brand's popularity and impressive clientele is thanks to the fact that they always make sure to use innovative materials and technologies to create spectacles that can withstand the test of time in terms of fashion durability and efficiency. In choosing the right pair of Lindberg glasses, these tips will help you get rid of the common mistakes people often do.
When you use eyeglasses because you truly need it to function (for reading or recognising people) and you are not using it merely as an accessory, you will want to focus on quality before you consider the design. Fortunately, Lindberg frames are made from high-quality materials such as acetate, gold, diamonds, and platinum. However, the brand's most popular and iconic product makes use of titanium.
The AIR Titanium features a rimless design, which is a fairly ideal style for some individuals who would rather not look like they are wearing eyeglasses. The eyewear may seem delicate but its construction and the material used make the Lindberg eyewear line durable, lightweight, and comfortable. Incidentally, when you are looking to buy glasses for your kid, a style that allows him or her to wear lightweight yet strong spectacles would make for a sound investment.
Now, just because you need to wear prescription glasses does not mean you should forego style altogether. Lindberg's selection of eyewear offers more than enough choices when it comes to colours, shapes, and extra features. When choosing a shape or colour, you will want to consider the shape of your face and your skin tone. Both can dramatically impact how you will look wearing a particular style of glasses.
The rule of thumb when it comes to choosing a frame shape, no matter what type of lens you need (bi-focals to varifocals), is to make sure that it contrasts with your face; the size must also be in scale with the size of your face. If you have a diamond-shaped face, a rimless style with oval-shaped lenses would soften cheekbones and highlight your eyes. If you have a round face, narrow angular glasses with a clear bridge would help to widen eyes.
Choosing your Lindberg eyeglasses is easy, since the brand basically produces high-quality optical pieces that embody style and practicality.

Exactly What Are Some Of The NicestTattoo Designs For Women Today?
Today it has actually become acceptable for women, old and young to obtain a tattoo. Nonetheless, although the wearing of tattoos is acceptable women shouldn't rush into getting such artwork tattooed on to their bodies. There are specific things that they should think about prior to moving forward. In this post we offer some suggestions as to what are a few of the very best tattoo designs for women.
But before we actually look at some of the designs let us first think about what needs to be considered before getting a tattoo. One of the most important things to consider is of course where the tattoo is going to be placed. Where yours will be located of course depends on who you want to see it and when. Generally today women choose a tattoo that can be covered up while at work, but shown off when out with her friends. The most popular places where tattoos tend to be placed on women are the upper arm, the shoulder, the small of the back, the ankle and the wrist. All of these areas allow the tattoo to be covered if the need arises. The next thing of course to consider is the size of the tattoo. Again most women tend to go for something on the small size so that if it needs to be covered it can much more easily.
So what are some of the best tattoo designs for women? The first tattoo design you may want to consider is that known as the Cherry Blossom. As well as being very feminine this particular design of tattoo is also very beautiful. The reason that this design is chosen is that it can be created in very pale shades or more vibrant ones dependent on the color of your skin.
You might likewise think about an additional floral design. Be conscious that different flowers have different meanings. The Chrysanthemum means excellence in some cultures, in Japan it is known more as the flower of death. If you don't want to make such a statement then pick a rose or lotus flower. These both symbolize love.
The final tattoo design that you should look at is the butterfly. In the beginning this kind of design was somewhat thought about to be a little vulgar. It frequently was described as being "the tramp stamp". Fortunately, today a butterfly tattoo doesn't carry that connotation is is perfectly acceptable.

Clues Clues Clues

The Universe gives clues to you all the time.
You have to notice them.
What you do with them is up to you.
That's free will.
Here's an example:
Recently I was talking to Pat O'Bryan about this and that when he mentioned he visited famed luthier Tony Nobles. Tony showed him his latest creation, a shiny black electric guitar made by hand, with all the perks and magic Tony wanted in a guitar of his dreams. Pat played it and said it was "perfect."
Perfect?
Pat doesn't toss around that word often or easily. I instantly asked if the guitar was for sale. Pat didn't know. I just as instantly sent en email to Tony -- I sent it right then and there, while Pat was sitting watching me type it on my mobile phone -- and asked about the perfect guitar.
Tony wrote back the next day, saying the guitar was the best he had ever made. He said he was out of town but sent me the link to his blog* where he described everything about what he nicknamed The Snake.
I read the post and drooled.
I wanted that guitar.
Pat said it was perfect.
Tony said it was the best one he had ever made.
Two clues.
While waiting, I sent the blog post link* to my guitar teacher, guitar monk Mathew Dixon. He read it and wrote back, "OMG!!!"
Third clue.
By now I had my checkbook out.
But I had to wait for Tony's return.
When he returned, he let me know I could come and see the guitar.
I still didn't know what it cost.
I didn't care.
The Universe sent me three clues that this was the next step for me.
I could have ignored them. I could have said I already have guitars. I could have turned my back on the opportunity before me.
I have free will and could use it to say no.
But I've found saying yes is the wiser choice.
I got Pat and we went to Tony's shop. When I finally got to see The Snake, I loved it. When I played it, it was light, smooth, and easy. It felt like it had supernatural powers. It had mojo. It felt mystical and magical. And powerful. And full of untapped secrets.
Pat played the guitar for me. He's Clapton. He made it walk, talk, run, sprint, sing, growl, soothe and stimulate.
I finally asked Tony what he wanted for it. He thought about the six months it took him to make it, and gave me a fair number. I pulled out my checkbook and wrote a check for five hundred dollars more than what he asked.
Why?
I was practicing prosperous purchasing.
And I wanted to acknowledge Tony for his passion, skill, and love for making it. When you do what you love, things tend to work in the world. Tony does what he loves. I wanted to encourage it, and him.
The lesson: When you get clues from the Universe, act on them.
Don't second guess. Don't doubt. Don't argue.
Act!
When you act on the inspirations you receive, you stay in alignment with the flow of life.
Everything works.
It may not be a guitar for you. The above clues were for me, not you. Yours may be a business idea. Or an urge to make a call, buy a book, attend an event, write, sing, dance, play, bake, or who knows what.
Follow the clues.
They lead to miracles.

4 Ways Online Chat With a Psychic Counsellor Could Help You.
There are many reasons why you might seek the advice of a psychic.
For those who have never consulted a psychic counsellor, they may have visions of psychics sitting in darkened rooms, lit with only a solitary candle, consulting a crystal ball.
The reality of course, is now very different.
The internet has opened up opportunities for talented psychics to connect directly with their customers via the Internet, through online chat, video calls and via the phone.
A psychic counsellor, if they are genuinely talented, will not need to see you in person. They will have the perception to clearly understand the challenges you face. And the experience to assist and guide you with the right course of action .
They can help you understand how you could better use your strengths and limit the effect of your weaknesses.
The internet abounds with websites where all manner of psychics offer services - but currently in most countries there is no prerequisite for psychics to be registered.
So as with any professional, it pays to chat with a few first, and assess your feelings about the potential relationship. Moreover, there are reputable websites where you can assess testimonials from other people. These are an invaluable way for you to guage whether a potential psychic counsellor is reputable.
Here are 4 things that you may consider discussing with a psychic.
#1 - Are you successfully engaged in work that harnesses your strengths?
Many start a psychic conversation as a way of assessing if there are better work options on the horizon - as they feel underutilized or unhappy at work. (Of course, you wont need a psychic to tell you if you are unhappy!) They may be able to enlighten as to areas where you could be using more of your innate talents.
#2 - Are the people you're surrounding yourself with useful for your development or are they hindering you.
Our lives are very much a function of the other people that we associate with. A psychic may be able to help you understand those people who are a negative drain on your energy; and steps you might take to alleviate it.
#3 - Are there ways that you can minimize negative patterns and emotions that may be holding you back?
We have all had negative experiences. Some continue to rule our decision making processes years after the event. Through counselling, you can be helped to identify these and address them.
#4 - Are their patterns from your childhood that are recurring in your life that, if remedied could set you free from some of your self-imposed restrictions?
Similar to the point above, we may have 'hangovers' from experiences in childhood that if addressed, can lead us to fuller, richer lives tomorrow.
This is just the start.
A trusted psychic counsellor can help you see beyond the haze of things that appear urgent in your life and begin focussing your attention on those things that are truly important.

The Rubicon Challenge
Copyright (c) 2013 Joe Vitale
At some point it's wise to accept or create a "Rubicon Challenge" for yourself. It's a way to stretch your talents, exceed your potential, dare something worthy, and achieve what others might call impossible. The line or "river" you cross is the self-imposed limitation of your own potential.
I just did that by declaring I will sing, play guitar, write songs, and record my own audio CD in 2011.
I've already been taking guitar lessons with Guitar Monk Mathew Dixon. And I've been taking singing lessons with vocal wizard Guy Monroe. I've seen progress and I'm having a blast.
But it's time to go to the next level.
It's time to cross the river of limitation.
And here's where my own Rubicon Challenge appeared.
Back in 2006 I held a publicity stunt in Austin, Texas called The Canine Concert. It was the first ever concert for dogs, played at a sound level only canines could hear. The band that donated their time and talents was Porter Davis. It was a hot summer day but people turned out, including the media, and we all had fun. This youtube video gives you a feel for the event:
That was years ago. I hadn't seen or heard from the band since. Recently the lead singer, Daniel Barrett, emailed me and asked to have lunch. Of course, I agreed.
Over Tex-Mex food and sharing, Dan told me about his new service. He offers 100 hours of personal coaching in singing, songwriting and guitar playing, ending in the studio recording five songs. He called it a boot camp for musicians. While he wasn't trying to sell me (as he had no idea I was already taking singing and guitar playing lessons), I began to feel that our meeting was more than a coincidence.
After lunch, I couldn't stop thinking of Dan's service, which he called Rubicon Artist Development. We met again a week later, shared several emails, and discussed my taking on his challenge.
I wanted to.
But I admit I was full of massive doubt.
Could I do this?
Could I write songs?
Could I play and sing well enough to be recorded?
Could I find the time to practice as well as keep up my lessons with Mathew and Guy?
I spent a lot of time thinking, dreaming, worrying and more. I'm surrounded by great musicians in my personal life, from Sarah Marie and Michelle Malone to Pat O'Bryan and of course Mathew Dixon.
But knowing they can play great music didn't make my decision any either.
I was still nervous about taking the challenge.
Until I realized that if I had this much excitement as well as apprehension, then I had to do the challenge.
As I wrote in my book The Attractor Factor, my rule of thumb is to follow goals that scare you a little and excite you a lot. If I'm giving that advice to others, then I need to take it myself.
I accepted Dan's Rubicon Challenge.
Why am I telling you all this?
Because in 2011 I'm going to announce a movie project and a challenge for you revolving around Miracles Coaching. You'll hear about it and it will interest you. But most likely you'll have questions, concerns, fears and doubts.
Accept them, investigate them, and release them.
You grow stronger and wiser when you accept the challenge you know you want.
I've accepted another one.
What will yours be?

If You Want to Keep Him, Don't Do This
If something is worth having, it's certainly worth fighting for.. That is particularly real in the dating game. So why do women still believe that the right guy will magically arrive, and love will suddenly take place? A woman needs to understand some important facts before she decides to date a guy. Unfortunately, one false or misunderstood step could sabotage the whole relationship. Here are three usual errors you must to steer clear of at the onset of a connection if you wish to hang on to your guy.
Error 1-- When you are not being your very own self
Too many women forget where they stand in a relationship. Believe it or not, you've got to put yourself first. Placing yourself second in the relationship is a mistake. Too many women forget who they are, giving up any power they may have. If a relationship is worth the effort you're willing to put into it, you have to value what you bring to the table.
Blunder 2-- No matter how much you want to take care of him, he needs a girlfriend, not a mother
Why do so many females believe they have to look after their man? Sure, we are the caring sex, it's in our genetic makeup. However doing excessively much for your man will eventually make them feel like a kid. Gradually he'll begin to resent you. So permit him to take command. So, for example, if he wants to pick you up on the next date, allow him do it. Even if you are a much better driver. Accept that he'll deliver you to your destination. Don't ever order his food for him when you dine out. He's a big boy and can order for himself. Don't worry if he doesn't make the healthiest choices. Do not ask your man if he needs a coat. He can make that decision on his own.
Understand? Love him like a lover, not a mother!
Error 3-- You've got to go after what you want
If you think Mr. Right is going to show up at our doorstep just because you are waiting for him, then you're going to have a pretty long wait. Who has that kind of time to wait? You need to go after exactly what you desire. Sure this thought makes you nauseous and nervous. Just keep that little fact a secret. No one needs to know that you're shaking in your boots. Mr. Wonderful is out there somewhere, all you have to do is get out there and find him. Get on out there. The search is all part of the fun. Live your life to the ultimate.
The dating ritual and relationships are complicated human connections. Unfortunately, we get most of our training from movies, TV and magazines. No wonder our expectations are so high and our disappointments so many. Life is genuine. Just keep these guidelines in mind and you'll lessen the chances of missing the one guy worth finding.

Traditional Self-Help Tools - Mistaken and Downright Dangerous
There's a blueprint most self-help experts follow.
Read a bunch of the books, listen to the tapes, or go to the seminars and you'll see they all travel down the same path of "Be - Do - Have". Or, as they put it, you have to Become the person who can Do what's necessary to achieve what you want to Have.
However, I believe there's a giant mistake in that blueprint. After all, it assumes there's something wrong with you to begin with!
By taking that approach - that you're flawed from the get-go - you're putting yourself in danger. Maybe not physically, but certainly emotionally. Who wants to be told there's something wrong with them? How's that helpful? What if all you need is a little boost and not a complete personality makeover? By taking part in "self-help", you've actually made the problem worse and that's a dangerous hole to fall into.
If you think I'm just being critical of the self-help world, think again. I've been in your shoes. In fact, I used to spend lots of time reading self-help books - most often "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill. For years, I thought his words were the key to success.
Now, looking back on those days, I think his advice was completely overrated.
Don't get me wrong. I think there's a lot of great information in there. However, I think Hill also says a lot of things that don't need to be said.
After all, here I was trying to make myself better - only I had all 31 of his "causes of failure". Every single one of his self-analysis questions left me feeling worse than before I started. He made me feel like I had a huge mountain to climb before I could even consider the POSSIBILITY of getting rich.
And then, in case I didn't feel bad enough by that point, there were his "ifs".
If I had the courage to see myself...
If I could find out what was wrong with me...
If I could correct it...
If I had a chance...
The truth is, for as long as I pinned my hopes on this advice, I never had a chance. I was too down on myself to move forward with anything.
To me, that's dangerous.
Why on earth did I subject myself to all of this self-doubt for so long? It's a question I've asked myself many times since and it's one you may suddenly be asking yourself now!
Unfortunately, in my quest for an answer, I learned that filling your head with self-doubt is a great way to sell self-help products. After all, if you got stronger and got happier, you wouldn't need any more help, would you? Had I learned that lesson sooner, I could have moved forward with a much more positive mindset much sooner in my life!
That's why I'm sharing it with you now. You don't have to wallow in self-doubt. You can move forward, right now.
So, how do you do it?
The key is very simple... It's YOU!
You have what it takes to get what you want. There's nothing wrong with you. You don't have a laundry list of things that need to be fixed before you can consider the possibility of being happy. There are no "ifs" you have to overcome.
The only thing that's standing in between you and the life you want is actually deciding what you want!
Once you decide what will make you truly happy, you have all of the tools you need to go after it. If there's something you need from the "outside world" along the way, have faith that it'll come to you.
So, take the old "Be - Do - Have" mindset, twist it around, and use this new idea to move forward with your life:
- Be who you are, without trying to "fix" anything first.
- Get on with the Doing.
- And soon enough you'll Have what you want!

How The Technology Behind Laser Hair Removal Has Evolved
Over 1.5 million people request a laser treatment to remove hair from the body every year. It is the second most requested nonsurgical cosmetic procedure. The number of procedures performed each year is increasing by 11 percent annually. The entire treatment is focused around the use of a laser. This device emits focused energy that removes hair and destroys the follicle so that the hair does not grow back quickly. Laser hair removal has evolved dramatically over the last half century.
The First Lasers
The very first lasers were built in the 1960s. These lasers used argon to produce a beam. Although the technology was very new, the value of lasers as a way to remove hair from the body was immediately recognized. One of the main problems with the earliest attempts at removing hair with a laser is that the beam was hard to control. Early lasers generated a single consistent and strong beam of light. This meant that it was very likely that the skin and surrounding tissue would be damaged before the hair and the underlying follicle was removed. Argon lasers were quickly abandoned as a method to remove hair.
Refinement
Laser technology within the medial industry was refined dramatically from the end of the 1960s to the 1980s. One of the first developments was the Q switch. This allowed lasers to pulse on and off rapidly instead of maintaining a single beam. The switch made it possible to control a laser so that minimum damage was done to the surrounding skin. A later refinement saw the introduction of a fiber optic probe. This permitted accurate targeting of small areas such as the upper lip. Unfortunately, these advances were not enough to guarantee success for laser hair removal. Trained professionals had to work for hours in order to remove a small amount of hair. Additionally, the lasers caused stinging and pain that made patients uncomfortable.
Widespread Success
The 1980s saw the introduction of the first widely available commercial laser systems. These were much easier to use and must safer than the lasers from the 1970s. The advances in technology made it possible for doctors and other professionals to remove hair with a minimal risk of other complications. These lasers also used lower amounts of energy. This eliminated the stinging pain caused by previous designs. The lasers spread throughout the world and became a common tool for hair removal. Some consumer models even appeared at this point that could be used in the home.
Modern Lasers
Soft light lasers and ruby lasers marked the start of the modern age of the technology in the late 1990s. These lasers provided a high level of control and very little chance for damage. Soft light lasers use a special gel to create bursts of energy that remove follicles. Ruby lasers use shorter wavelengths of light in order to target hair and follicles without affecting the surrounding skin. Laser hair removal has become one of the standard cosmetic procedures performed in clinics and offices. It is currently painless, very safe and can be completed quickly. The results of the procedure have improved as well. Patients now have smoother skin for a longer period of time than was previously possible.

Dyslexia Treatment: Enabling Children To Surpass The Learning Disability
Dyslexia is a lifelong challenge that many children face. It can prevent them from reading, writing, spelling, and to some degree, speaking properly. The well-known learning disability can sometimes be mistaken for poor intelligence and even laziness. But in actuality, dyslexia causes the brain to process and interpret information in another way. When the symptoms are recognized, it is important for the family and teachers of the child with dyslexia to come together and consider intervention programs that will, in essence, promote dyslexia treatment.
The Road to Intensive Learning
There is no known cure for dyslexia but literacy programs designed to address the many symptoms of the learning disability can help a child to overcome the difficulties associated with it. Treatment is generally done through educational tools as opposed to medication. But resources on the learning disability point to the significance of recognizing the symptoms early on in order to effectively treat the disability. Some dyslexia symptoms in children may include trouble with pronouncing words, difficulty in recognising letters and matching the letters to sounds, problems with learning and correctly using new vocabulary words, difficulty in rhyming, and many other symptoms.
An individualized education program designed to address the child's difficulties in reading, writing, spelling, and speaking should be formulated. The education program should detail the particular disabilities of the child and the specific teaching methods. This will, naturally, entail an initial assessment of the child's weaknesses and strengths before an intensive literacy program is designed. It is recommended that parents approach a specialist or an innovative education establishment that focuses on treating dyslexia.
Education by Design
An innovative educational establishment with expert teachers and assessors that have worked with countless children with dyslexia will be able to create well-structured literacy programs. These programs might apply a multi-sensory approach that may target vocabulary, fluency, comprehension, reading and writing, synthetic and analytical phonics, and phonemic awareness.
Treatment of a child's dyslexia does not just reside with the teachers at school, the tutors, and other educators who specialize in the learning disability. Treating dyslexia should also extend to the responsibilities of the parents. A structured environment at home can encourage a child to work on his or her reading and writing skills. Helping children maintain focus and emphasising certain lessons can be instrumental in reinforcing comprehension.
Professional dyslexia help may enable children to gain the core skills they need in order to overcome their disability but a dedicated support system at home can empower any child to tap into their actual intellectual capacity and succeed later on in life.

Ways To Save Your Reationship Today
Michelle was in the habit of ending each conversation with a quick, "love you.". Her husband, Nick, never got a warm feeling from her words. "It doesn't mean anything" he complained to mutual friends. "We have been married for eight years and it feels like a habit. The words feel empty." Yes, relationships do take work. Everyone craves genuine excitement in their love life. It certainly is tempting to just sit on the sofa and watch TV at the end of an exhausting day. More meaningful than telling your partner that you love them at the end of very conversation would be to show them how you feel. Snap out of autopilot and show your partner how you really feel.
Start with the basics. Often when relationships get stuck in a rut we forget to look at each other. Try to see them with a new perspective, with fresh eyes.Choose a quality you like in your spouse and than share that compliment with your partner. Sometimes breathing new life in your relationship is as simple as really appreciating what you have. Share what you appreciate with your spouse. A real compliment can be treasured for years to come.
You can use little acts to demonstrate how you feel. Of course, you could hire a plane and write messages to your loved one in the sky. Use the small acts to communicate what you really feel. Little gestures show the other person that you care for them and the future of your relationship.
For example, I know one woman who seeks out her partner's favorite brand of gummy bears. She keeps them in a reachable place for her husband and each time he has his favorite treat, he thinks of her. Another husband I know gives his wife a hand massage while they decompress with their favorite TV shows. My husband loves to have his head scratched while we sit on the sofa. Think about how you might enhance your partner's life. What little surprise might thrill them?
You don't have to buy cruise ship tickets. The gesture doesn't have to cost a thing. Leave the butter out in the morning so it softens for their toast. Bring them a glass of water at night before they get a glass out. Think about their daily chores. Where might you help them out or make their life easier? You could make them coffee, clear their car of snow or put some towels on a heater for them. Even holding a door open for someone else is a thoughtful gesture. What is at the core of the issue is waking your relationship back up and keeping it alive with small acts of kindness. These acts tell your partner that you care and value your relationship. Your relationship is worth the extra effort. The core of this issue is taking small steps to relight the romance in your love life. The world keeps turning and we still have work to do, but take the time to keep your relationship alive and healthy.
Another small way you can add to your partner's life is by writing them a note. Texting and sending email is common these days. Taking pen to paper and writing a notes takes effort and time. Finding a note in your jacket pocket is a wonderful surprise. Don't focus on how long the note is, just get the note written. Write a quick line with a compliment or a shared joke.
Body language is important as well as remembering to touch your partner. Look at your partner in the face when they come home and give them a hug. Give them a kiss hello. Hold your partner's hand or put your arm around them while sitting together. Personal contact is important for every relationship. Make sure your partner understands through your body language that they are valued.
At the time time make sure that you see the small things your partner might be doing for you as well.Do they make your favorite meal? Make sure your favorite drink is in the fridge? Make sure to give them a sincere thank you. Being recognized often makes the effort worthwhile and keeps the flow of inspiration going.
If your marriage has gone months or even years in a stalled routine, then you need to start to change. We all know that change is hard. If you keep the gestures small, then they are doable a few times a week. It is small changes that will get your relationship moving in a different direction.

Better Reading Skills
If you are able to read each single phrase on a page, are you actually reading? Well, perhaps not!
Being able to state aloud what's on the page is a form of reading, of course.. But there is more to reading than just uttering the written word. You must be able to understand. You must be able to explain what you've read and answer questions. Otherwise, you're merely reciting words on a page. True, knowing the words is key, but you also must understand the message. When this happens, you really are reading.
Certain specific skills must be developed to improve reading comprehension. If you have children, make sure you quiz them about what you've just read to enforce the meaning. This is important during school holidays and vacations especially.. Below are a few questions you could ask:
1. Main Theme - What was the reading about? The first sentence of a story or article may hold the clue as to the major theme or idea of the piece. The sentences that follow describe the main theme.
Here's an example: I went to Florida on vacation. The weather was warm and sunny. I went swimming in the ocean. I collected shells on the beach.
In this example, the first sentence says the principal idea and the remainder of the sentences convey more about what occurredat the place.
2. Inferences - Making a conclusion based on an assumption or knowledge is an inference.
Here's and example: An event of historic proportions happened when the Eagle spaceship touched down on the moon. The surface is full of rocks and craters. Before I take a step on the moon's surface, I need to get into my special space suit.
From these signals, you can deduce that a man will shortly step on the moon. Neil Armstrong was the first man to walk on the moon.
3. Forecasting Outcomes - If you want to forecast what might occur next, you'll need a good comprehension of what you've just read. Strengthen this talent during advertisements when you are watching TV!
For example: I washed my face and brushed my teeth and got into my PJs. My mom came in to read my favorite story. When the story was over she gave me a kiss.
You can infer that the child will go to sleep.
4. Fact or Opinion - A fact is something you will be able authenticate to be correct, regardless of if you like it, when an opinion is what you presume or believe.
For example: I am in the grocery store. Justin Timberlake is going giving a concert tonight. He is the best entertainer of all time!
The first 2 sentences are facts because they can be proven. The last sentence is an opinion, based on beliefs. What others think have no bearing on your opinion. It's only about what you think and believe. If you want a clue as to what the author is thinking, look for words that end in 'er', like bigger or "est", like biggest.
To sum up, reading is about knowing the words on the page and being able to interpret their meaning. The ability to use skills like picking out the main subject, drawing conclusions and differentiating fact from opinion will help in better reading comprehension.

Benevolent Outcomes
Copyright (c) 2013 Joe Vitale
Tom Moore wrote a couple of cool books that are helping me fine-tune my intentions these days.
The Gentle Way and The Gentle Way II are "self-help guides for those who believe in angels."
I love the niche of the titles: if you don't believe in angels, pass up these books. But I don't think believing in angels is crucial to using the method Moore describes.
In short, he suggests that you ask for a "benevolent outcome" for whatever you are about to do or request.
For example, I might say, "I ask for the most benevolent outcome in writing this blog post."
Or you might say, "I ask for the most benevolent outcome in meeting with my potential new employer."
There are many ways to word these requests, but basically the phrase "benevolent outcome" is key.
"Benevolent" means, in my own words, highest good. So you're asking for the highest possible good to come out of whatever you are doing or requesting. (My favorite word is "benestrophe" which is many good things happening at once; the opposite of a catastrophe.)
When you're asking for a benevolent outcome, you're releasing your ego's need to control the result. Yes, you still want what you request, but you're open to something better.
There's a freedom in using this method to set intentions. Too many requests are based in fear and desperation. Bad move. The energy hiding in such a request will either block your desired outcome or bring you something to match the feeling of desperation and fear. You don't want either.
I wrote in my book The Attractor Factor, and in many other places, that you can have virtually whatever you want, as long as you don't need it.
The key word is need. When you need something, you are putting life and death stress on your request.
Instead, state your request with the disclaimer that you are open to the best possible outcome, which may be something you don't see right now. The ego has blinders. The Divine does not.
The beauty of the method Moore describes is you get to make your request and remain open to something better.
Moore wants you to ask these requests of your guardian angels. I'm all for it. I've been doing it just that way, too. But if angels are a stretch for you, consider that you are making the requests of your unconscious, wiser, higher, deeper mind. Either way, you get the benefit.
Here are tips from Moore on how to make these requests:
Request the Benevolent Outcomes out loud, whisper, or in writing.
Start with easy requests for immediate feedback.
Be very specific with your request.
Make requesting Benevolent Outcomes a habit.
Requesting a Benevolent Outcome with emotion and feeling reinforces the request.
Don't be afraid to ask for the impossible.
You can request that the outcome be even more than you can expect or imagine.
Thank your Guardian Angel for fulfilling your request.
Experiment with benevolent outcomes today. Before your next call, or email, or visit, or anything, ask "I request the most benevolent outcome for…"
I am experimenting with being very specific while still letting go of attachment.
For example, I might state, "I request the most benevolent outcome with my writing songs that inspire and are fun and hit the Billboard charts."
Moore's books are breezy reads. They are great places to learn more about the specifics of this easy method, and to see countless examples of them in use from people like you and me. I recommend them.

How To Stay Commited To Your Health And Happiness
For many people, knowing what they need to do to feel healthier and happier in their life is often a lot easier than actually following through with it.
I am sure you have experienced times in your life, or perhaps even currently, where you set a goal, made a resolution, devised a plan of action for your desires for yourself personally and/or professionally, and then before you know it, you are back to just thinking about it or it becomes a passing thought.
Perhaps your goal is to lose weight, be or eat healthier, be happier, walk or exercise more, make a certain quota, go on more sales calls, get projects completed, overcome a fear, spend more time with family or friends, or tackle your to-do list, etc.
You may even start off on your objective like you are off the runners mark before the gun is even fired. You have a plan and THIS time you are sticking to it, right?
Then before you know it, your momentum slows and then you stop working towards the goal you said you originally wanted.
The part of yourself I call "Victim Thinking" has entered the building, which in this case, would be your thoughts.
It's that voice that says tomorrow you will start, or talks you out of what your plans are, or makes excuses, or on some level actually creates an occurrence to stall or set you back, or makes a non-believer out of the believer in you.
This voice can be conscious or unconscious. If you aren't succeeding at your goal, you can bet that victim thinking is lurking in your thoughts and making other things more important than you, your happiness and well-being.
So how do you stay committed to living a healthier and happier life when that little voice you may or may not hear is trying to sabotage your results?
Become aware of your thoughts and/or excuses that are holding you back or getting in the way. When you are conscious of what's stopping you, then it becomes easier to work with the thoughts instead of thoughts working against you.
If you have set a goal or devised a plan of action towards something, and if you aren't following through with it, or something or someone (being you) gets in the way, then it's time to call in the reinforcements and become liable. Not just once in awhile, but frequently.
Choose someone in your family, or a friend, or a coach, mentor or counsellor to help keep you on track and hold you responsible for what you say it is you are working towards.
You are more apt to stick to your goal(s) when someone is holding you accountable for them and cheering you on when you need it.
Set a date you wish to start, and not next month or year.
Create a plan of action. What steps are you going to take to accomplish what you would like?
Be reasonable about the actions you will be taking. Remember, Rome wasn't built in a day. When you succeed at the small steps towards your desired outcomes, then it's a lot easier to believe it's possible to now take and succeed at the larger ones.
Know when you or someone else needs to challenge you more as you can become idle in your thinking and way of doing things and may need to take steps to get moving again.
Congratulate yourself whether you are taking big or small steps. Some goals are harder than others and take time and persistence. Acknowledge your growth, commitment, and hard work.
Don't beat yourself up if it takes you longer than you thought, or if you start and then stop and then start again. What's important is you get right back to it.
Old habits and mind-sets are hard to break, but that doesn't mean it's impossible.
Don't rush from one goal right to the next. Take time to enjoy the progress you have made and to make sure your next goals are in alignment with where you are now. What's truly important for your continual growth, health and happiness?
The attempts you make are never failed ones if you are learning what isn't working and then staying committed to discovering what does.
"When it is obvious the goals cannot be reached, don't adjust the goals, adjust the action steps". Confucius.
Remember, don't give up; try, try again. You CAN do it!
Using these techniques with insight will assist you in not only staying on track with your goals but making sure they are in harmony with you and your vision.

Realizing Our Objectives - Are We Always On The Right Track?
Is there a difference between being self obsessed and striving to reach self improvement? Obviously, the difference exists and it is huge, as the self-obsessed people make unethical selfish actions that could harm other people. It is necessary to learn more about where the limits are and how to not become unpopular with everyone who knows us.
Most of us would like to feel self confident all the time. Some people do. If we look around we can even spot people that were born with very high and healthy self esteem. This is remarkable. Whilst most of us need to work hard on self improvement I have always admired, secretly sometimes, how healthy some peoples nervous systems can be. It is as if... well, it is as if some people never ever doubt what they are doing or saying. Thankfully the rest of us can go head with some quality improvements on ourselves!
People can reach high level of personal growth and self confidence through various ways. They may either choose a personal coach or do it by themselves. Phsyco therapy was the only option a few years ago, but today people realize they cannot live constantly with their past. We cannot be self confident if we blame someone else. All we need to do is to take our responsibility and forget about the Freud's theories. A lot of options arise since his times - marathon running, cognitive behavioral therapy, meditation, personal coaching, neuro linguistic programs, etc. Many of them work fine and I personally tried some of them.
The self improvment program works equally well for people of any age. The desire for self improvment often starts when a person is a teenager, but it may appear later during the midlife crisis. Regardless of the age or reason, everyone can do something that can help them improve their self esteem, before it is too late. It seems both dreadful and funny to be 90 plus years old and still suffer from low self esteem. It has not to be that way. So, it is important to learn how to obtain healthy personal growth, which is quite different from self admiration or self obsession.
People today find some strange ways to improve their self esteem. One such method is showing their photos on Facebook or other similar places and to wait for peoples admiration. It is quite easy to do that, as the iPhone-self-portrait-camera does it for a few seconds. You do not have to pay a fortune for a self portrait as people did a few centuries ago. But the big question is whether this could be call healthy self esteem or not?

3 Tips on How to be Proactive in Your Life
Being proactive means thinking and acting ahead of anticipated events - this means using foresight. Not only is it a great method for avoiding more work down the road, but it can be extremely important for averting disasters. Many of us look to proactive people as the instigators of action and creative ideas in society.
Here are some suggestions for helping you to become a more proactive person.
Organize
The first step in becoming proactive is to get organized. Organize your thoughts, space and schedule. Know which tasks are priorities and which can wait. Write out daily lists of tasks and head the list, 'I will do' and not 'to do'. Boldly cross off each item as it is achieved. Keep this list close at hand and let it direct your actions. If it goes too long without crossing anything off, reassess what you are doing to make sure that you do finish the tasks listed on it.
Be "Response-able"
We all have the ability to consider the infinite number of choices we face when a new situation comes our way. Instead of being reactive, and acting out the first thing that comes to mind, let's focus on being proactive and responding to the situation in the best possible manner.
If you are reactive, you won't think about your response to a situation. If you are proactive, however, you will understand there are many choices available in each situation. Knowing this, you will take the time to pause when a situation arises, and calculate the appropriate response. Essentially, you are being responsible for your results in life.
Think of being responsible as being "response-able." It means you are able to stop, think, and respond to situations in the best possible manner. You are able to put a wall between external circumstance, and internal state of mind - and pause until you decide how to respond to them.
All of us have the ability to respond. In order to exercise this ability more often, we simply need to raise our awareness to how we are dealing with circumstances that come our way. The next time you feel that impulse to react, choose to stop and think. Consider all of your options, and then choose the best option available.
Think positive
Develop a mindset that looks to solve problems instead of dwelling on them. Shifting from a reactive mindset to a proactive mindset won't happen overnight. It will take conscious effort on your part to make the transition; however, the results are definitely worth the effort.
Positivity is the opposite of negativity. Negative thoughts tend to send you back to a reactive mode. Do away with anything that contributes to negative behavior or thinking. This leaves room for positive thinking and promotes a proactive orientation. For example, do not think about what you don't get done on a daily basis. This contributes to negative thinking. Think about what does get accomplished in a day, and set a goal to complete one more thing on your list the next day.

Self Improvement - The Advantages Of Personal Development Plans
Modern people are usually very interested in self improvement, but they hardly understand the difference between self-obsess and self improvement. There are cases when personal development plans become too selfish and people use harmful and unethical methods to reach their action plan goals. In order to know more about this difference, you need to learn more on how to avoid becoming unpopular with family and friends.
Self-confidence is something that everyone wants to feel and it is typical for some people. They are as if born with healthy and high self esteem. They usually are individuals that other people admire because of their healthy nervous systems. These people seem to never even doubt how to act or what to say, but there is a chance for the rest of us with a bit of quality improvement on ourselves!
Self confidence and personal growth is something that everyone can attain. Just keep in mind that old Freud's theories do not work any longer and one will not be able to live happy life if blaming someone else for mishaps. On the other hand, phsyco therapy that was the only option a few years ago, is currently also considered to be inefficient. People no longer want to live with their past in order to move ahead. There are other much more effective options that I personally tried and can confidently recommend. Such are meditation, cognitive behavioral therapy, neuro linguistic programs, marathon running, and personal coaching. You can choose whether to do them by yourself or hire a tutor, who will lead you in a personal growth progress.
People of all ages can take advantage of various self improvment programs. Usually teenagers have low self esteem, but it may happen to adults during the midlife crisis or later as well. The good news is that everyone can do something about it, regardless of the reason or age. You don't have to wait until you reach 90 years of age, to fight your self esteem. It would be just too late, so take an action today and learn the differences between healthy personal growth and self obsession and self admiration.
With the photography techniques we have today, we do a lot self portraits and stick them on Facebook or any other place we like. In the old days, and not that long ago, only queens and kings and lords and ladies, could afford a painter to make a nice oil portrait for the front room of the palace. Today we use our iPhone-self-portrait-camera and slap the photo on Facebook in a few seconds. Not even minutes. Is this healthy self esteem? I really want to know.
