How To Organize Your Life If You Are Feeling Lost

Many people sometimes find themselves in a situation where they don't know up from down. Several things come crashing down at once, and what you thought was a decent life is now in shambles. When this happens, it's very hard to get and stay motivated, and nothing seems to work. Not only that, it becomes clear that people are happy to be your friend when everything is going good, but when you are a wreck, people tend to stay away from you. In this article, you'll learn how to put the pieces back together again and gain control.

The first thing to do is to realize that you need to improve. Most people look outside and feel as if the gods have dropped a ball of chaos on them. But when you take responsibility for what happened, even when it wasn't your fault, you get a lot more control. Just understand that there are specific things you can do that will help to slowly put things back together.

Put everything aside and spend about an hour writing down your thoughts. Your goal for this hour is to try and come up with three or four things you'd like to create with your life. What are the most important things? Imagine if you had a magic wand and you could have anything you want. What would it be? Create some of solid goal. Working toward a solid goal is a great way to get some control back.

Once you've figured out what you want, you need to write down all the things keeping you from getting them. Make sure you write down both external things and internal things. Both of these must be overcome in order to get what you want. If you had another magic wand, and you could make anything go away so it would be easier on you, what would you make go away? This will give you a clue as to what you need to work on.

Once you've got a goal, and some blocks identified, figure out a plan to get to work. What small step could you take to get started? What would be the next step? How about the next one after that? Just make sure you know two or three steps ahead. As soon as you complete one step, look ahead a couple steps and see what's next. Be careful not to hope other people do things or external circumstances magically change. Make sure these small steps are things you can do yourself.

Believe it or not, that's all there is to it. Create a big goal, find out what's keeping you from getting there, and get to it. Once you get started on this, you'll soon feel back in control again, and some amazing things will begin happening.
