Is It Wise To Use Cute Pickup Lines At The Dinner Party?

Ok-- A Real Question; Can you really see yourself saying one of these lines below?
Note Number 5; Wow, who could really say that?

Let's put things in perspective. You want to make an impression on someone-- and you really want to look good. Please, don't use # 5 !!! Or, actually any of them !!

Do you know that some folks actually pay for these lines? Unbelievable, isn't it? So, why do they?

Actually it isn't hard to figure out why. It is to appear clever, smooth, and suave. Now, do these corny pickup lines make us appear so? Nah, I don't so.

Is it because the folks that pay for lines like the above-- don't have self-confidence that they can carry on a lively conversation without some prearranged openings? Isn't that the real reason why someone would actually use one of them?

So, what is that person you want to make an impression on really looking for you to do? Let's put out a few possibilities:

1. Manners
2. Good Conversationalist
3. Sharp dresser
4. Good Posture
5. And, and above all-- Good Self-Confidence

Now, if you accept the above-- the question is how to achieve them. Actually it is quite easy. You can pick up a book on manners anywhere-- and if you are in doubt-- go through it more than once. The same goes for good posture. Who wants to look at a slovenly posture-- and what kind of an impression does that make?

So, # 1, # 3 and # 4 is knowledge that you can obtain anywhere. The # 2 and # 5 are a little trickier. But, those are the ones that are vital.

One of the great - probably greatest - social skill to acquire is to become a skilled conversationalist. That means you would have at your disposal interesting conversation topics to bring out at any time. With a pocket full of good conversation starters - you will be comfortable at any social setting. There would be no need for cute pick up lines. You will be supremely confident at all times with anyone.

And, that is carried off only with a good sense of self-confidence. Can that be achieved If you don't have it now? Indeed, Yes !!

Now, you can concentrate on the important aspects of meeting someone-- and throw those corny pickup lines where they belong.
