Today, it seems that working hard is not enough to get what you want. In addition to hard work, you need to be smarter if you want to gain more favorable results. You need to be personally productive every minute of your life to actually achieve something significant.
What does being productive means? Personal productivity is one's ability to carry out tasks on time with quality results. A person's productivity level may vary from different tasks. A high level of productivity can be attained not just through hard work but with planning and organization as well. A deficiency in any of these three elements is likely to result to a low personal productivity level.
If you are in the work force, improving your productivity level can get you noticed by your boss. If you are a student, it allows you to save your free time for more leisurely activities. Completing tasks on time also prevents you from feeling overly stressed out due to procrastination or putting off tasks as they come. Here are some tips on how to increase productivity.
1. Keep a daily notepad to record your ideas. Have you ever had a great idea that has been lost just because you have nothing to write them on? Today, most people use electronic devices such as cell phones and laptops to record their ideas. However, using pen and paper makes it easier to draw ideas than on the notepad applications of your electronic devices. Furthermore, you won't have to worry about your battery getting low or accidentally deleting your notes if you write them down on paper.
Carrying a notepad is one thing and actually writing down something on that notepad is another. Every time you feel like making notes or when you think you have stumbled upon something important, make it a point to write it down on paper.
2. Create a list of tasks you need to accomplish each day. Don't try to do a lot of things that you can't handle in a day. What you should do is evenly divide your tasks with the amount of time that you have. Once you've finished with the tasks you've lined up for one day, you can start to relax. You can also work on another task if you've finished early. Just make sure that you're not stressing yourself on doing what is beyond necessary. Otherwise, you might not get quality results. Sure, quantity is great but work quality will always be more impressive
3. Have a Break. Taking short breaks as you work is an effective way of easing boredom and work distractions. Take at least a 5 minute rest for every 45-60 minutes of work. However, avoid doing things that are very much unrelated to your work. Activities like surfing the net or checking your email are distracting and might cause you to take a break longer than five minutes.
4. Work on the difficult tasks first. In order to defeat procrastination, you need to learn how to deal with the most unpleasant tasks first instead of delaying it. This will most likely start a very productive day. In addition, everyone has their peak time of productivity. Typically, people are most productive during the early parts of the day. So, you need to identify when you are most productive and do the more important tasks during those times.

The Kingdom of God: What Is It? - Where Is It? - How Does It Work? It Is Inside You!
Paul defines the Kingdom of God as being righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit (Rom 14:17). This means that God's gifts of his righteousness, and his peace, and his joy - beginning with his love - are all inside of us. They belong to us.
WHERE IS THE KINGDOM OF GOD?
Jesus says, "The Kingdom of God is within you" (Luke 17:21). God is a very personal God, and his Kingdom is very personalized for us. It's not an entity, a government, or even a place. It's a reality that is intended to exist for us on a daily basis.
Is there an actual 'heaven,' which some refer to as the Kingdom of God? Yes there is. The Bible speaks of heaven as being place where we spend eternal life. But what Jesus wants us to see is that it begins here in this life on earth. This is what he calls 'being born from above,' in John 3. God's Kingdom is something that enters into us here and now.
It's like eternal life. Eternal life is eternal - it lasts forever - and Paul calls it 'immortality' (II Tim 1:10). But here, he also says that both (1) life and (2) eternal life or immortality are brought to life to us through the gospel. Jesus says something similar in John 17:3 in his prayer to the Father: "This is eternal life: that they might know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent." Eternal life is both later, and it is now.
WHAT IS THE KINGDOM OF GOD?
We actually just saw this in Romans 14:17. In addition to God's love, which underlies everything, Paul says the Kingdom consists of three things:
(1) God's righteousness in us (II Cor 5:21, Rom 5:17)
(2) God's peace in us (John 14:27) - God is often called 'the God of peace'
(3) God joy is in us (John 15:11, 17:13)
This is a picture of total mental and physical health. When we know God's righteousness is ours, and receive it as Romans 5:17 says, then peace and joy become ours. We cannot know God's righteousness living under laws, rules and precepts, because this puts the focus on us. It makes us feel guilty, condemned and unrighteous (Rom 3:19, II Cor 3:6). Most of us don't know our righteousness because we live principle-focused lives.
HOW DOES THE KINGDOM OF GOD WORK?
See these in reverse-order. Joy is the outward expression of what is inside: it can be seen by others. Peace is our inward mood, attitude, or thought processes. Righteousness is the reason for peace and joy. Righteousness is of the spirit, peace is of the soul, and joy is seen in our bodies: by others in the way we live.
Joy expresses the person of God in us, and peace is what radiates joy.
But what is it that causes peace to reside in us? It is knowing our God's righteousness in us that produces peace in us, as we see in Romans 14:17. Paul says the same thing in Romans 5:1: "Being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." Justification is what produces our sense of righteousness - which is what produces peace.
Everything comes down to us knowing our righteousness in Christ - our justification by him because of his death on the cross. When we live in this state of being, and when God's gift of righteousness becomes daily reality to us, then we live in peace and joy.
This is true even "when bad things happen to good people." Our peace and joy are not determined by outward circumstances, but by the inward reality of God in us.
BEING IGNORANT OF GOD'S RIGHTEOUSNESS
Paul says we are ignorant of God's righteousness in us when we live life trying to establish our own righteousness (Rom 10:2). When we live trying to establish our own righteousness by means of things we do, then we don't 'submit ourselves to the righteousness of God.' Paul says this happens when we live by means of laws and rules (Phil 3:9).This is actually living in 'the kingdom of SELF,' and not 'the kingdom of GOD.'
Living life by law destroys the power of God's love in us (II Cor 5:14).
Psychology teaches that love (in various expressions) is the strongest force on earth. Yet so many Christians try to live by law rather than in God's love. It's like they trust law more than they do God's grace.
Living like this will never produce the Kingdom of God in us: righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Again, the Kingdom of God is a place: it is eternal life in heaven. But it must begin here by us believing and trusting God, and allowing his Kingdom to take up residence in us, and become reality to us.

Have you been reduced to thinking "having it all" means you get the entire carton of ice cream? Is the highlight of your evening having control of the remote so you can revel in someone else's made up adventure? Are you putting more energy into the lives of fictional characters in television shows than you are into making your own life something unique and exciting?
To many, succeeding is just making it through another day. Life has become too complex, too challenging, too difficult to figure out. Success - health, wealth, love and recognition - seem another world away. After years of frustration, countless attempts and wasted effort many have lowered their sights along with their expectations.
Don't succumb to the notion, 'I just don't have what it takes.'
For you to be reading something like this, one thing is true - the ember of hope is not completely extinguished. You have taken a minor step. You have decided to check once more. Maybe an opportunity has been left for you. I can tell you for sure - it has!
Now I can't promise you are going to rocket to the top of your profession. That you are going to become fit and healthy, strong and sexy in an instant. That you are going to become wealthy, loved and celebrated overnight. What I can offer is a way forward, a path that will lead you away from the challenges you have, until now, accepted as your lot in life. You can change course, write a new script and start moving in a new direction. You just need to understand: succeeding is all about the fundamentals.
'Aha!' You say, 'Not so fast. If I've learned anything after years of searching, untold trials and painful attempts, it is that succeeding requires a complex and exacting balance of knowledge, skills and attributes I just don't have, and what's worse, just can't master.' To this I say: that while there are many routes to the summit, you only need apply a few fundamentals to eventually arrive.
So what are the fundamentals of success?
To get the most out of this adventure called life you must apply these fundamentals:
1. Work with life, not against it. Life intends to grow, which means life intends for you to grow. You are on a growth journey - stop resisting. Get moving and keep moving. The end will come soon enough. Don't waste the opportunity.
2. Focus on what you want - something worthwhile, something valuable. You move toward what you focus on and what you focus on moves toward you. Don't squander your thoughts and your energy focusing on obstacles and cultivating fear. Thoughts become things, so think great thoughts and create great things.
3. Nurture an attitude of expectancy and gratitude. All the world makes way for the person who knows where he or she is going. Be thankful for the opportunity, the risks and the rewards, the twists and the turns. Yours is a unique adventure - one only you can fulfill. Advance with an attitude that continues to take you to new heights.
4. Realize effort comes before reward. The only way to get the view from the top is by climbing to the peak. If you are satisfied taking someone else's word for it - that the view is awe-inspiring and spectacular at the top - and you are not willing to put forth the effort to climb, then come to terms with that now. Appreciate the view you have. Unless you are willing to give, to advance, to move forward, your perspective will not change.
To succeed, to make the most of life, focus on the fundamentals. Conform to the way life works. Don't worry about mastering a myriad of skills and developing a stable of stellar character traits. You don't need to become an expert in everything, you only need to focus on a few fundamentals. You possess all the skills you need to advance now. As you move forward you'll acquire everything else as you need it.
Go where life leads you, enthusiastically and gratefully. Accept that your life is an adventure. Set your sights on worthwhile goals and get moving. Every little step in the right direction is a step closer toward your goal. To succeed, focus on the fundamentals.

Gratitude - How You Can Use It to Transform Your Entire Life
If you're like most people, you feel grateful when something good happens - like when you get a promotion at work, or when the entire family is together at the Thanksgiving dinner table.
But that's not good enough.
Sadly, most of us tend to see the negatives in life, rather than being grateful for things on a daily basis. Think about the last time something bad or frustrating happened. How did you handle it? Were you upset, but still grateful for the good things in your life - or were you thrown into a sea of negativity and convinced your entire life is terrible?
You don't have to live a life that's chock full of anger, resentment, disappointment, frustration, and boredom. But the key to changing things is to use gratitude in a more productive way.
How do you do that?
You have to choose how you want to live. If you decide you're going to make gratitude a bigger part of your daily life, you need to choose to work at it. If you don't take a proactive approach, the "little things" will get the best of you. You'll end up being an emotional ping-pong ball!
If you're finding it difficult to incorporate gratitude into your routine, do these 2 things:
1. Focus on positive statements.
Instead of dwelling on the negative, say positive things like, "Today, I choose to be grateful for ___." Say it out loud if you have to! Pick out a dozen little reasons to be grateful or one giant reason. No matter what you're talking about, just make sure you genuinely feel grateful while you're making these statements.
2. Search for gratitude in every experience.
This can be challenging - especially when you're in the middle of a bad situation. However, it's not impossible. Remember, there are positives and negatives to every situation. If you search for and recognize the positives in each situation, you'll feel much better about all of them.
The key to making these techniques work is to consciously remember you DO have choices. You don't have to let life lead you around by the nose. You might have to work harder at being grateful at first, but over time, you'll see the change it creates. You'll have a more positive view to the world and, as a result, you'll discover others approach you in a more positive way. In the end, you'll see more and more positive things start happening to you.
But it all starts with turning your attitude around!

7 Habits of Unsuccesful People
Stephen Covey came out with a list of seven of the qualities of highly effective people. It was such a hit, that most people use it as a guide as to what to try to become in order to be successful.
However, there are still some people who manage to be unsuccessful in their business dealings and their life, in general. Their behaviour exhibits patterns which are sure-fire ways to make them both unpopular and unsuccessful.
So, what are those habits we all must steer clear of? Here they are:
They Procrastinate
There is no surprise that this is top of the list. When you put off until tomorrow that which you could easily do today, you delay everything you want indefinitely. Successful people are experts at either doing or delegating. Being successful and having a high-powered career does not take twenty hours per day; it takes support and a team of people that you can 'outsource' everything that isn't on your key task list. Get moving with your activity and you will be amazed how many people step up to help you.
They Think, Say, & Do Negative Things.
Yes. They see problems in EVERY opportunity. They complain that the sun is too hot. They cursed the rain for ruining their plans for the day. They blame the wind for ruining their hair. They think that everyone is against them. They see the problems but never the solutions. Every little bit of difficulty is exaggerated to the point of tragedy. They regard failures as catastrophes. They become discouraged easily instead of learning from their mistakes. They never seem to move forward because they're always afraid to come out of their comfort zones.
They never miss an opportunity to "educate" others.
They always think they are right - even if they aren't. They call attention to mistakes others have made and make sure everyone else knows about those mistakes, too. They don't hesitate to point out when someone (a colleague, an employee, the clerk at the local hardware store, an airline pilot, the prime minister) is wrong and how they could do a much better job. Since think they are a fountain of wisdom, they feel it's necessary to share this with everyone, so everyone can benefit from his/her expertise, experience and knowledge.
They Waste Their Time
They don't know what to do next. They may just be contented with eating, getting drunk, watching TV, or worse, staring at the blank wall with no thoughts whatsoever to improve their lives. It's perfectly fine to enjoy once in a while. But time should be managed efficiently in order to succeed. There should be a proper balance between work & pleasure.
They Lack Faith in themselves and in their Abilities
This is not a religious statement, this is about self-belief. When you don't really believe that you can have whatever it is that you are wanting and you lack faith in your desired outcome, your energy, enthusiasm and dedication to your goal waver and in extreme cases vanish entirely. Knowing that you have the same ability as anyone to reach their goal and that persistence and application will get you there, are key to keeping going on the days when you can't actually see your desired outcome
They Try to Bring Others Down To Their Level
Incompetent people envy other successful individuals. Instead of working hard to be like them, these incompetent ones spread rumors and try every dirty trick to bring them down. They could've asked these successful ones nicely. But no, they're too proud. They don't want to ask advise. Moreover, they're too negative to accomplish anything.
They are Inconsistent
When you are up and down about your activity then your results are going to be up and down too. If what we get out, is what we put in and you are putting in varying amounts, it stands to reason that what you get will vary too. If you are taking on more tasks, outsource or delegate some of your existing to-do list to free up your time for your new activity. Consistently move towards your goal; this is the action of a successful person.

So, they won't just agree when someone tells them that they can achieve more than what they are currently achieving whether in business or in anything that they want just by setting goals. Such people have so many doubts in life that they even doubt if they can achieve something more than what they already have.
2. Setting the Wrong Goals
Some people set the goals that other people around them want them to set. Thus, they end up setting goals that they pretend to want for themselves when in fact they want something else. What's worse than climbing a mountain and getting to the top only to find out that you actually don't want to be there? Those people who see goals as something that are prescribed to them usually stay away from setting their own goals because they think that it's not for them to do.
