I Want My Boyfriend To Propose

'I want my boyfriend to propose but he won't. How do I make him take a step?' This is a question running over the minds of many women at the verge of desperation for marriage. While there are ways to make him propose, you should be aware that an ultimatum may bring your relationship to an end therefore be prepared for whatever answer; positive or negative.

While this is the case, it is advisable for you, at this point, to get his answer so that you take the necessary steps into moving on with your life. Why stay with someone who is not willing to commit himself to you when you so much desire it? It is also common that for many relationships to move to the next step, the woman has to get it going. Here are some pointers to make your ultimatum in a subtle and clever way:

-Try and find something that will make you drift from him. For instance, you can decide to get a course to pursue in college or go abroad. His reaction when he gets this news will give you an impression of what he feels about his relationship with you. This will stir him into action. Your proposal won't be far away if he truly loves you. -Threaten to break up with him. Let him know that you are not in a position to date him for fun, and that you are ready to settle. The thought of seeing you with another man is sickening and he will try his best to keep you. Your 'I want my boyfriend to propose' becomes 'when do we wed?'

-Knowing what your man wants in a wife will help you get him to propose. Conduct a soul search of yourself and see what reasons are holding him back from making a step in the relationship. Perhaps your behavior is a knock-off to him. Start behaving more maturely. Review your behavior with other people and correct where correction is needed.

Maybe he watches you relate with other people in a way that he would not put up with if you were married. Once he notes a change, he is in a position to approach and settle down with you. Be yourself all along. A made-up attitude or behavior will always reveal itself once the strong initial feeling of love is over. He should love you for who and what you are.

As is the nature of men to protect their ego, it is your duty to make yourself approachable. For instance, if there is never an opportunity for him to chat alone with you, never expect a proposal from him. You do not expect him to have a lovely talk with you when you are always with your friends, colleagues etc. The point is to create situations when you and he are alone just to get to know each other.

While getting a way for him to propose, do not force him to. Some women, for example seduce the man into impregnating them so that there is no choice for the man. This is the worst mistake you could make because if marriage is not based on love, then it is not solid and trust is all but gone.
