How To Prepare Your Skin For Your Wedding Day

Many women look forward to meeting someone that they will spend the rest of their life with. They also look forward to sealing this love and commitment on their wedding day. This means a lot to the bride, the groom and their family. For a bride, it's important to look their best on this very special occasion. There are a lot of things to prepare: the gown, shoes, tiara, veil, make up, hairstyle and so on. But what most brides forget is how important it is for their skin to also look good on their wedding day.

Yes, the health and look of your skin are also important. This will give you a natural glow and radiance that no make-up or cosmetics can lend you. Every bride must not only look beautiful, she also needs to feel beautiful. This can only be done when you know how to take care of your skin. So here are some tips for every bride out there.

1. Use a good cleanser - it's important to clean your face and get rid of buildup that can cause breakouts. Start this habit a few months before your wedding to give your face enough time to heal and regenerate. Then make sure that you cleanse your skin in the morning and in the evening. Also, keep in mind that you should cleanse your face in a gentle upward motion strokes. Avoid tugging, pulling or scrubbing it as these can irritate your skin and can also cause sagging.

2. Use a toner - Use a toner on a regular basis to freshen up your skin. Make sure that you use a toner that is recommended for your skin type. Toners help in bringing back your skin pH after washing. It also helps in closing the pores that open up when you wash or cleanse your face.

3. Use a moisturizer- after cleaning and toning your skin, don't forget to moisturize it. This way, your skin will always be hydrated. It's important to keep our skin hydrated because direct sunlight can leave it dry. Make sure that you choose a moisturizer that is also recommended for your skin. During daytime, make sure that you use a moisturizer that has good SPF for more protection from the harmful and drying rays of the sun.

4. Facial treatment - you can do it yourself or you can go to the spa if you have the time. Do this at least 2 or 3 times a week. Start with a mild cleanser, and then exfoliate your skin. Make sure that the exfoliant that you will use are round and are non-abrasive. Then, use a facial mask after. Just rinse it off before you go to sleep.

5. SPF 15 - make sure that you use a foundation or a moisturizer with SPF 15 or higher. This is to make sure that you're protected from the harmful rays of the sun.
