Alcoholics who wish to stay sober for the long-term should begin reading about alcoholism and how to maintain a life without alcohol. Through reading, they will understand problems that might accompany alcohol addiction such as anxiety and depression. It is also best to read newspapers so they can develop their mental capability and be inspired through other ideas and stories to stay alcohol-free.

Total recovery can be achieved when an alcoholic abstain from alcohol. While staying sober demands determination and dedication of an alcoholic, it is also essential that he doesn't expose himself to a setting where alcohol temptations are very close.
