Detoxification is done in the healthcare facility for individuals who have out-patient treatments. Inpatient treatment facilities are also referred as residential treatment centers where the patient stays full-time for a specific time period. This kind of treatment is applicable to those who suffer from serious alcohol addiction. There's greater monitoring on the improvement and treatment of an addict in this form of treatment. When considering for treatment, it is recommended to do enough research on what type of therapy suits best for the addict.
