Achieving Super Mind Power

Use it or lose it. This often-used phrase applies to exercising to keep the body flexible and strong, but it also applies equally to the mental sphere. Playing with sensory input, thinking about what the color yellow might taste like or the aroma of sunshine creates new ways for the brain to learn and grow.

Certain foods enhance brain power more than others. Nuts, especially walnuts, seeds, deeply colored fruits and vegetables, green tea and chocolate all provide the brain with essential nutrients. Eating more of these foods gives the brain an extra boost. Combining brain foods with an active exercise program provides the brain with all it needs to not only function well, but to grow in mental power and focus.
