Think And Grow Rich

Many authors boldly claim, "This book contains money-making secrets that can change your life." Napoleon Hill's, "Think and Grow Rich" is one volume that truly delivers. The 20th century self-help success industry is built on the foundation Napoleon Hill poured with his 1937 classic. Countless people have moved from mediocrity to excellence and despair to prosperity by embracing the principles outlined in "Think and Grow Rich".

Napoleon Hill, at the age of 25, while working as a reporter, met the famed industrialist Andrew Carnegie. Mr. Carnegie, considered the second richest man in modern history, lived a true rags to riches existence. He was convinced all people could benefit from learning the enduring lessons of achievement. Mr. Carnegie challenged young Napoleon to devote his life to collecting, assembling and organizing the world's first philosophy of personal achievement. Napoleon published a home study course titled: "The Law of Success" in 1928. He followed up with "Think and Grow Rich" which has sold over 20 million copies and counting.

The human mind often resists truth, even when resisting brings pain. "Think and Grow Rich" presents the Holy Grail, the master key of getting anything you could want out of life - it offers truth: "What the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve." Just know there is no such thing as something for nothing.

Desire and a willingness to act will lead you to any destination you can imagine. You already possess the attributes and the abilities to live a full and fulfilling life. You can soar to new heights, produce spectacular results, secure fame and fortune. You have a world of opportunity at your feet.

Are you prepared to pay the price?

For those willing to ante up, "Think and Grow Rich" presents a formula of sorts, a "how to" guide, for moving from ordinary to extraordinary. The journey from average to exceptional requires thirteen steps (many taken together):

1. Desire: the engine of progress
2. Faith: visualization of, and belief in attainment of desire
3. Autosuggestion: the medium for influencing the subconscious mind
4. Specialized Knowledge: personal experiences or observations
5. Imagination: the workshop of the mind
6. Organized Planning: the crystallization of desire into action
7. Decision: the mastery of procrastination
8. Persistence: the sustained effort necessary to induce faith
9. Master Mind: the driving collaborative force
10. Mastery of Sex Transmutation: focus natural drive
11. Subconscious Mind: the connecting link
12. The Brain: a broadcasting and receiving station for thought
13. The Sixth Sense: the door to the temple of wisdom

Though success elicits a price, the cost itself fulfills. Success cannot exist without happiness, and no person can be happy without dispensing happiness to others. The road to achievement leads through a forest of growth, and support, and mutual benefit. While there is no free lunch, the traveler is never bears a burden alone.

The choice to move from rags to riches, from anguish to exultation, from misery to mastery is an act of will moved by a stream of thought. All achievement springs from idea. If you want to literally change your life from failure to success - change your thoughts.

Disciplining thought is not an easy task. Thinking, though as effortless and commonplace as breathing, is the most difficult of all human activities. Only those that focus thought, those that succeed in mind, succeed in reality.

To become all you have the potential to be, think and grow rich.
