Why Employee Excellence Matters In Overall Company Management

Managing a business company has never been an easy task to fulfill. This fact has made management consulting a most-sought-out service. Nonetheless, while it's usually believed that managers need to recognize how they are ultimately the problem, experts in executive coaching have found that overall company management is actually impacted more significantly by actual employee excellence.

The Triangular Company Structure

If company structure were to be diagramed, it can actually be represented by a three-sided polygon, i.e., a triangle, of which the sides would have to continue holding on to each other in order to maintain the structure. These three sides can be identified as (i) the management, (ii) the employees, and (iii) the clients. In this representation, it can be seen how overall company management will undeniably be affected by both the second and third sides.

But how does one side affect another more? The picture may be made clearer if the triangle were to be characterized as a right triangle. The base would then represent the management; the upright side, the employees; and the hypotenuse, the clients. You see, if the base were strong and lengthy enough, the hypotenuse would consequently lengthen, i.e., clients will certainly increase in number and even in loyalty. The same direct proportionality exists between the upright side and the hypotenuse. In other words, if employee excellence is high, then client quality also becomes high.

The Right Angle between the Management and the Employees

Now when the analyses done above are combined, it will be seen how the relationship between the management and the employees affect even more significantly the client quality and hence, the sales quantity. Thus, there must be maintained a right angle in between the management and the employees. This angle represents the right relational limit and responsibility between the two sides. Maintenance of this right angle with the management will be made much easier if the employees were themselves excellent. This excellence respects the gap between the boss and the subordinate, while responsibly carrying out every job order as if subjected to an absolute rule.

The management, on the other hand, would nonetheless not be excusable if the employees are apparently disinterested and unmotivated. The core management team must then continue going through some leadership development programs which would further teach the management on how to instill motivation on their employees. Again, executive consulting experts in your area, while able to discern the problem, are also willing to help managers assess the excellence displayed by their employees.

Indeed, employee excellence matters in overall company management as this gauge ultimately makes or breaks the managerial strategies, however strong.
