Spotting Pool Leaks

Copyright (c) 2014 Joe Vitale

A few months ago the pool started losing water. Obviously there was a leak, but I couldn't find it. Neither could anyone else. We all walked around the pool, looking for any obvious signs of holes or leakage, but nothing. I walked around inside the pool, too. Couldn't find a thing. But the water kept leaving anyway. It wasn't an emergency or even a priority, so I let it slide.

Now that the weather here in Texas is getting warmer, thoughts of the Summer come to mind. I couldn't put off getting the pool fixed any longer. I'm going to want to be in it one day very soon.

So I called the pool company that installed it. They suggested I first hire a man who could possibly spot the hole causing the leak. I thought that was a long shot, since I and so many others had already studied the pool. But I made the call anyway.

Ramone came out the day after my call. He was talkative and friendly. Told me all about his online graffiti interests, how he writes reports on belief systems, how he used to run a pool company, and how he just hunts for pool leaks on the side for fun and profit. Fascinating guy.

Within ten minutes he announced he found the leak. I was stunned. I couldn't believe it. I asked him to show me.

He got in the pool, which had to be freezing compared to the warm Texas air, and pointed to the tiniest of slits on the bottom of the pool. It wasn't even on the side of the pool all of us guessed it might be. And it looked like a leaf, not a leak. I shook my head in disbelief.

Ramone then went about repairing the leak. I was still in shock. I asked him to look around the pool even more, as I thought maybe he actually missed the real leak. I couldn't believe the tiny slit he found was the reason I lost thousands of gallons of water.

He couldn't find another leak, I paid him, and he left. The next day I put water back in the pool. Sure enough, it's holding just fine. Ramone had found and repaired the leak.

Here's the lesson:

When your brain is trained to see specific things, your eyes will spot them easily.

In other words, Ramone's experience had wired his brain to be on alert for pool leaks. He could see them when you and I could not. You and I aren't trained to spot leaks.

But this is how you and I walk through life.

We see what we have experience in seeing. We don't see what we don't have experience in seeing.

Simple enough, right?

So how do you awaken your brain to see what has been there all along?

When I was learning marketing decades ago, I listened to Dan Kennedy, Jay Abraham, and others. I read the classics by John Caples, David Ogilvy, Bob Bly, and more. I trained my mind to see what it hadn't been trained to see or do.

Today I can see business opportunities when before I could not. Today I can't stop myself from seeing them, any more than Ramone can stop himself from finding a pool leak. It's now natural.

To "turn on" your brain, you need to have intention and take action. The intention is to accomplish something; the action is to train yourself to see what's actually obvious.

How do you turn on your brain?

1. Read. This has been the #1 key to my success. Read biographies, business books, psychology books and more. Read "The Power of Impossible Thinking" by Jerry Wind and Colin Crook, read "Why We Make Mistakes" by Joseph Hallinan, and read "Iconoclast: A Neuroscientist Reveals How to Think Differently" by Gregory Berns.

2. Listen. Use your travel, exercise and relaxing time to listen to audios that will expand your mind. Buy what interests you at www.nightingale.com (I have three audioprograms there: "The Secret to Attracting Money", "The Missing Secret", and "The Power of Outrageous Marketing".)

3. Train. Get coaching. I'm a big believer in having a mentor. I have two coaching programs right now. Depending on your interests and intentions, one or both could help you awaken your brain. (See www.miraclescoaching.com or www.joevitalementoring.com)

Final example:

I'm about to go to Peru and speak in a stadium to 35,000 people about the Law of Attraction. I intend to learn conversational Spanish for the trip. To do so, I'm reading books, listening to audios, and looking for a tutor. This is all part of training my brain to do something it hasn't done before (or at least not since High School Spanish in 1970).

Magic and miracles, money and more, are at hand. It's simply a matter of "spotting pool leaks."

How to Calculate the Life Expression Number

Also called as Destiny Number or the Personality Number, the LIfe Expression Number is an important index in <a href="http://numerologycalculatoronline.com/">numerology calculation</a>.

This sum describes all of the talents and potentials that are at your disposal in your lifetime, and is derived from the letters that compose your full birth name. It tells you what kind of standards that you need to live up to in this lifetime to be "complete."

It is important to understand that calculation of the life expression number should not be based on your nickname or your married name, but rather the full name that can be found on your birth certificate. This number tells others what makes you tick, what excites you and what motivates you as a person. Even if your name is misspelled on your birth certificate, just use that to configure your Life expression number.

You may have heard about the Life Path Number, which is more about your limitations or possibilities with your given ancestry or physicality. The Life Expression Number offers you a glimpse of how you can make the most of your experience on earth.

The value of your Life Expression Number is that it tells you what you are truly capable of or what you should look for when it comes to realizing your highest potential.

You may use a <a href="http://numerologycalculatoronline.com/">numerology calculator</a> to get your life expression number, but here is a manual way to calculate this number easily. Just add up the values of each of your names according to this conversion:

A, J, S equals 1; B, K,T equals 2; C, L, U equals 3; D, M, V equals 4; E, N, W equals 5; F, O, X equals 6; G, P, Y equals 7; H, Q, Z equals 8; I, R equals 9.

Let us take the name of Brad Pitt as an illustration. As many of you may probably know, his full name is William Bradley Pitt.

So first we would take "William" and add up the values of each letter:

William 5 + 9 + 3 + 3 + 9 + 1 + 4 = 34

This would be reduced down to 3+4 which equals 7.

Bradley 2 + 9 + 1 + 4 + 3 + 5 + 7 = 31

3 + 1 reduces to 4

Pitt 7 + 9 + 2 + 2 = 20

2 + 0 reduces to 2

We then add up all three of the reduced sums together to reach a total

William + Bradley + Pitt

7 + 4 + 2 = 13

Remember, you need to reduce all double digits, except 11 and 22 which are symbolic entities in themselves, to a single digit by adding them together.

This tells us that Brad Pitt's Life Expression Number is 4.

People of 4 are usually very down-to-earth and would become an excellent architect, surgeon or teacher. This seems to suggest that Mr Pitt's real talents are probably wasted as being an actor, as the Life Expression Number indicates one's true potential and hidden capabilities.

What we have discussed here would certainly ring a bell with Brad Pitt fans, as Mr Pitt studied architecture at Oklahoma university and is also working on a big project in London with architect Rande Gerber. He has also financed the renovation of buildings designed by Frank Gehry. So it appears that, aside from his acting career, Mr Pitt is also highly intersted in the building field.

The people of 4 like balance and order and can be very systemic and strategic in their thinking. This could certainly explain Pitt's ability to organize several production companies at once, his acting career and a side profession as a budding architect.

Psychology - The Wisdom of Accepting

Sooner or later we have to face the truth that we live in a world that is, in many ways, imperfect and unjust.

We will need to come to terms with this if we are to face life with emotional and psychological stability.

We may set out on our voyage with the highest intentions, thinking we really can change the world--and, indeed, each one of us can change the world, though only some of us will--but we will never alter the way that life is.

Life will continue to be life, regardless of our desires and remonstrations. It is under no obligation to be fair, it does not have to be just, and it does not have to always make sense. All it need do is all that it can do: It has to be itself.

In the wise words of Lao Tzu, originator of Taoism, what we have to do is 'let reality be reality'. This is the case, also, as it applies to each of us: We need to permit ourselves to be ourselves. discovering who that self is, or more accurately who those selves are - because each person is a composite of many different aspects - is a very big part of becoming authentic, of becoming real.

When we comprehend and accept this, when we stop demanding that life be something other than it is and that we become something different than we are, then we stop swimming against the current, and our passage through life becomes so much easier.

There are times when we have to adjust our sails and steer a course that leads to the shores of compromise. We may not like this, but then again there is no 'Great Law' that says we have to like everything in existence. The trick, of course, lies in knowing when to compromise and when not to.

When something cannot be altered, it is senseless to keep on banging our head against it.

The lucky ones amongst us find the serenity to accept the things that we cannot change, the courage to change the things that we can, and the wisdom to know the difference, to paraphrase Reinhold Niebuhr's Serenity Prayer, so wisely adopted by AA and other 12-Step groups.

As long as we do our very best, then we will have done all we can--even if, at times, the best we can really do is to keep our head above the water and keep right on breathing.

Our feet will always find secure land provided we do not abandon hope. Who knows how many people we might one day help because of our own difficult experiences?

Though we may not see it at the time, nothing need ever really be wasted. Everything has its value. Our real solutions, like so many of our problems, lie within. We need to work from the inside out, not from the outside in, to bring about true change and restore an inner balance that will endure.

As a therapist, I believe that advanced hypnotherapy provides the most effective way to do this that there is.

The Power of a Positive Attitude

For those of you that know me, most would agree that I'm a pretty positive person. This week I want to talk about something that I've started to see appear more around me lately, and that's negativity. The road of life, whether personal or professional, can be fraught with bumps and obstacles. At times, these stresses can seem overwhelming to all of us. Everyone, including me, has an occasional bad day, but learning to maintain a positive attitude is the first line of defense against the negative effects of life's challenges.

I think negativity is like a wet blanket. It is not comforting, and it depletes your energy and drive for achievement. A negative attitude wears down your happiness, your motivation and your chances for success. A positive attitude promotes happiness, energy, confidence, and creative inspiration. These effects drive you to take on problems and challenges with a determination to solve them, and you feel motivated to strive for new goals and embark on new endeavors. When you adopt a positive attitude, you exude the confidence to conquer life's obstacles, and this confidence empowers you to achieve your goals. A positive attitude is contagious as it radiates from your demeanor and encourages others around you. When you believe in yourself, then your family members, friends and coworkers are inspired to believe in themselves as well.

If you are a parent, you likely want your children to be all that they wish to be. You have done your best to instill confidence in your children, encouraging them to try out for the school play, tackle the tough math problem, enter the writing contest or even apply to the college of their dreams. We all believe in our children. You must believe in yourself, just as you would believe in your children, to achieve the rewarding results we're all working towards.

Many people have asked me how I manage to stay so positive despite difficulties or problems. Adopting a positive attitude is a matter of learning to acknowledge your abilities and conveying from within that you are more than capable of expanding on your talents. Once you achieve this powerful first step of self-appreciation, your renewed confidence in yourself will start to inspire others. I've found that others are very drawn to positive people, and the same is just as true for a positive person. I don't want to be around those who are always negative, so I try to help by giving them tips that have helped me.

There are several additional simple things that you can do to increase your happiness, confidence and motivation. First, simply choose to be happy. This may seem silly, but the decision to be happy is your choice. There are times when this is easier said than done, but most of the little annoyances that bring you down can be cast aside in your mind. Many of these things are likely insignificant in the grand scheme of your life, and dwelling on them will only detract from your goal of maintaining a positive attitude.

Force yourself to be optimistic by finding a silver lining in every cloud. View challenges and obstacles as opportunities and learning experiences. If you try to visualize the outcome that you desire and mentally accept nothing less, the solution will come into focus more easily. By worrying over the potential outcome that you fear, your negativity will only lead to your mind spinning its wheels in a desperate search for the solution.

Find things to smile about, no matter how trivial some of these things may be. A smile has the power to elevate other people's confidence in you, which boosts your own positive attitude. The client on the other end of the phone can actually detect your smile in your voice while talking on the telephone.

Seek inspiration from others. Read inspiring books, watch an inspiring movie or put an inspiring quote on your computer monitor where you'll see it each day. The achievements of others who began from a similar background as your own can be the most powerful motivators.

A positive attitude will set the stage for thriving in the workplace, effectively dealing with challenges at home and be successful at keeping you healthy. When life throws you a curve ball, you will find yourself surrounded by a support network of those who have benefited from your positive attitude to help you through those hard days. Being a member of a group that strives to be uplifting and successful will offer you a front row seat to witness the ultimate power of a positive attitude.

Are Morning People More Successful?

Rise and shine, sleepyhead. Success is just around the corner, but first you have to drag yourself out of bed and greet the day. Everyone needs a little time to themselves. Sometimes that time is at the end of the day, but having some "me" time before the day starts has proven to be a key to success for many.
Numerous studies show that early risers are more apt to attain measures of some success. From entrepreneurs to politicians to athletes, many see the early part of the day as a key time to prepare for what lies ahead.

While others remain in dreamland, many successful people already are planning their day. Early morning hours are not filled with as many distractions and give many successful people the time to compile to-do lists that actually might get accomplished.
Getting up before the crack of dawn also allows successful people the opportunity to get in some exercise without being interrupted by an important phone call or having to make a crucial financial decision.

You are also more likely able to set a positive vibe for the rest of the day. Stay in bed, oversleep and then you are rushed to start your day and you feel like you always are trying to catch up. This lifestyle mode and lack of time management adds stress to relationships and simply is not healthy. Successful people have mastered the idea of managing their time. The earlier you arise, the more time you have in the day to build relationships and make important, well-thought out decisions.
Those who work toward success are not only refreshed in the morning, they seem to be more optimistic. These people usually have a routing that prepares them mentally and physically for the upcoming day. They are ready to get down to business in the morning thanks a renewed sense of energy that leaves them feeling ready to tackle the world. Their sense of willpower and self-discipline is never higher than in the morning.

Recent studies suggest what successful people have known for a long time. People exhibit one of mankind's most difficult attributes -- self-discipline -- earlier in the day. Willpower, the study concluded, is similar to a muscle and can become overworked with fatigue throughout the day. By the time you arrive home, the lack of willpower can leave you feeling zapped. Successful people might use the early morning as the time to formulate difficult decisions and with the help of self-discipline stick by their decisions.

Successful people, according to studies, have more time in the morning to eat a healthy breakfast that helps them start the day off feeling refreshed, which results in clear and concise decision-making and a renewed sense of being able to deal with distractions.

Relationship Scenario: My Married Boyfriend Had His Step-daughter Kidnapped. What Should I Do?

Dear Valinda:

I was dating a man for two years when he suddenly married a widower whose husband was killed accidentally during a military war game exercise. She had a little girl named Nolan. For now I will call him Jeff.

Jeff assured me that he didn't love this woman, but he had to marry her because his high-profile boss at work and the Senator from our district was pressuring him to do so.. I never fully understood what was so important about this woman or why Jeff was pushed into marring her. All I knew was that shortly after they got married, Jeff adopted the little girl.

I was with him for two years before this happened. As far as I know, they only dated three or four times before getting engaged. When Jeff told me that he still loved me and needed me, I believed him. I stuck with him, mostly because I was in shock over what transpired in such a short time.

Before this woman came into the picture, Jeff took me everywhere and I was the love of his life. There was no way I wasn't about to just walk away.

The same week Jeff and this woman was married, he gave up his job at the law firm and started working for the Senator directly, as a legal advisor. Jeff is a brilliant attorney.

After the marriage Jeff still visited me often, during working hours and in the evening. I made few demands on him. I was still trying to get the courage to end the relationship.

One evening when he was over, I walked in on him talking softly on the telephone. He was giving someone the address to his young daughter's private school. I recognized the address because the up-scale school was a couple blocks from my mother's estate. I didn't think anything of it.

About a month later, the little girl was kidnapped from school. It was all over the news.

During that time, Jeff changed, he was more serious and angry most of the time. I decided to keep my mouth shut, but that didn't stop my mind from wondering. We went from hot to barely warm in the bedroom. I realized something was terribly wrong in his life. I realized more than ever that he needed me, so I said nothing. He kept paying all my bills, and buying me nice gifts, just like he did before he married.

After a while I grew comfortable with the situation. And soon he was around less and less. He placed a large sum of money in my checking account and after that I barely saw him. I guess it's what I expected, and I'm thankful that he walked me to the door of our relationship, slowly.

The problem is, I think about that little girl almost every day. I know Jeff and the Senator's office had something to do with her disappearance.

What should I do?

Barbie: Friend or Foe? Social Media Lends to the Topic

As a child, I was a huge fan of the Barbie doll. I probably had sixteen of them at one point (that was a lot back then) and they each had seen their share of love. A lot of them got haircuts from me in an attempt to "feather" their hair (it was the 70's, after all) which resulted in incredible failure and most of them had lipstick marks on them in an attempt to change their makeup. As I grew up, I stopped playing with those dolls but grew my hair long, sprayed peroxide on it to make it blonde and subconsciously thought Barbie's looks were ideal.

Now I'm a parent to two girls of my own. They've both been into Barbie dolls, particularly my youngest. Remember that number 16 that I had? She probably has 60. And they're more than just a doll. They're veterinarians and teachers and Mermaids and fashionistas and heck&hellip;even archers. Barbie has been made to have a brain to go along with her beauty.

This debate on how Barbie impacts young girls today is one that is usually around in some shape or form. There are those strongly against Barbie&hellip;her proportions are completely inhuman (yes..they are) and she helps create a poor body image with young girls today because they want to look like her. On the other hand, Barbie does everything. She's not a blond bimbo sitting in the corner waiting for Ken&hellip;she's driving the sports car herself, and going to college and being an activist as well as a style icon. In fact, it seems as if there is nothing that Barbie HASN'T done.

Through social media and real-time commentary, this debate has come to the forefront recently. It seems everyone has an opinion on how Barbie influences young girls today. Are young girls starving themselves because they want to be as thin as Barbie? Personally, I don't think Barbie has anything to do with it as most girls are kind of out of that phase by age 9. My oldest daughter is 13. She's growing like a weed and starting to notice the opposite sex. As a result, she's curling her hair, and exercising and putting on makeup. Have I ever heard her say that "Barbie made me do it?" No. Have I noticed she's emulating actresses on shows she watches on TV? Yes. My youngest, on the other hand, still loves putting on fancy dresses when she plays with her Barbie. She does her hair up to play with Barbies. Will this change? Most likely, but will move onto a phase much like her older sister.

The point is, the debate marches on. Social media brings topics like these front and center and as a result, debate is created. Just remember&hellip; nobody is perfect&hellip;not even Barbie. We all just do the very best we can.

Millionaire Mindset - Mental Tips for Success

The world, as we know it, has rapidly become very complex. Technology is advancing faster than we can keep up with, times are hard financially, the kids need more and more things, and your job mentally drains you. Many of us struggle to maintain our sanity at times when we're mentally fatigued, frustrated, and stressed to the max. Here is some good advice, and good mental tricks from some of the world's most influential people, that will make your life a bit more manageable and fulfilling. The following list of mental tricks you should incorporate in your daily routine is compiled by University of Michigan's Health Services Department:

Value yourself

Treat yourself with respect. Take some time to get back to those hobbies you enjoy so much. In this stage, it is important to find the time to do something that makes you feel good.

Take care of your body

Taking care of yourself physically can improve your mental health. Simple things like eating nutritious meals, drinking plenty of water, exercising at least 30 minutes everyday, not smoking or drinking excessively, and getting a good nights sleep will all help keep your body functioning well so your mind is clearer.

Surround yourself with good people

People with strong supporting casts and social connections, are more likely to be healthier than someone without a support system.

Give Back

The feeling you feel when you give back, volunteer, and help someone who could benefit from you is a remarkable feeling. You will feel amazing when you experience helping someone.

Relax your mind

Try meditating or reaching out spiritually through prayer. Relaxation exercises and prayer can improve your state of mind and outlook on life. In fact, research shows that meditation may help you feel calm and enhance the effects of therapy.

Set realistic goals

Decide what you want to achieve academically, professionally and personally, and write down the steps you need to realize your goals. Aim high, but be realistic and don't over-schedule. You'll enjoy a tremendous sense of accomplishment and self-worth as you progress toward your goal.

Switch it Up

Everyone has their own routine, but switching it up every now and then could bring more joy and excitement than you realize. After you take that morning run, go for drive and see the countryside, or, go out for breakfast instead staying at home.

Avoid alcohol and other drugs

Do not drink in excess or use drugs. Although this may come as common sense, we don't realize the actual poisonous effect it has on our body.

Get help when you need it

Seeking help is a sign of strength -- not a weakness.

What Not to Do

You just read about some really good mental tricks to stay happy and productive. Many people want to know what they need to do remain in this state. But what not to do could be more beneficial to us all. This list of things to avoid in order to be mentally strong is compiled by Psychotherapist and licensed Clinical Social Worker, and Forbes Contributor, Amy Morin.

Waste Time Feeling Sorry for Themselves

No one else is going to feel sorry for you, so don't waste the time throwing yourself a "pity party".

Give Away Their Power

Understand that you are in control of your destiny and emotions. Don't give others the power to bring you down.

Shy Away from Change

Mentally strong people embrace change and they welcome challenge. Their biggest "fear," if they have one, is not of the unknown, but of becoming complacent and stagnant. An environment of change and even uncertainty can energize a mentally strong person and bring out their best.

Waste Energy on Things They Can't Control.

Recognize what you can and can't control. Control what you, what you can't, don't waste energy on.

Worry About Pleasing Others

Strive to be kind and fair, but be your person. Understand that people won't always agree with you, or may even, get angry with you. Don't be a people pleaser, feel comfortable with who you are, and don't sacrifice your happiness for someone else's.

Fear Taking Calculated Risks

With mental strength, a person can observe the risks and benefits closely, and will fully assess the potential downsides and even the worst-case scenarios before they take action.

Dwell on the Past

Mentally strong people don't get caught up in past times and glory days. They create opportunities for the present and future.

Make the Same Mistakes Over and Over

It's ok to make a mistake, but we should learn and grow from those mistakes, and not keep making the same mistake. If you keep making the same mistake, you're not learning, therefore, not advancing in life.

Resent Other People's Success

We've heard the term, "hater" before. We don't want to be "haters" when it comes to another person's success, meaning we don't need to hate them because they're doing better than us in life. We should learn from success and find out how that person became so successful.

Give Up After Failure

Don't give up when you fail. Try, try, and try again. Don't be afraid to fail. If you never try, you'll never know. If you never know, you'll never do better.

Fear Alone Time

Mentally strong people enjoy and even treasure the time they spend alone. They use their downtime to reflect, to plan, and to be productive.

Feel the World Owes Them Anything

Mentally strong people do not feel that they are owed something because they have an impressive education and are likeable. Be willing to work, and stay humble and respectful.

Expect Immediate Results

Don't be impatient. It takes time to build something worthwhile, so you must be in it for the long run. If you always expect it to happen quickly, you'll be very frustrated.

All of this advice, as well as these useful mental tricks, compiled from two of the most trustworthy, impactful, and influential people and health departments will rejuvenate you. Although it will challenge your mental capacity, don't let life weigh you down. Adopt these coping skills, and be on your way to mental freedom.

4 Ways To Increase Your Self Esteem

Most people need a little self-esteem boost now and then.

Self-esteem is all about how we feel about ourselves. When our self esteem is low, we can feel anxious and depressed, we can find ourselves in abusive relationships, and be prevented from reaching our true potential.

There can also be cons to self esteem. For instance, when a person's sense of self worth is overbloated, it can turn into arrogance or what is termed 'narcissism', and this can create problems. Such people can have difficulty accepting and learning from their own mistakes and can develop a false sense of entitlement.

Developing a balanced level of self-esteem is key. For some, a healthy, high self-esteem develops naturally. But for others, developing a healthy self-esteem takes some work. Check out these pointers to give your self-esteem a kick start.

1. Draw up a list of your best qualities - For some people with diminished self-esteem, even contemplating making a list of their good points seems like an impossible task, but it can be really helpful for raising self-esteem. If you find this task challenging, think about what others say about you. What positive compliments have you received? Begin with those and then work from there. Jot your good qualities down using "I" and the present tense. For example, "I am a kind and generous person."

2. Regular affirmations - Take another peek at the list you made. Choose your favorite qualities to use to do daily affirmations. Take those statements and write them down on cue cards and stickie notes. Put the stickie notes where you will read them everyday, such as on your computer screen, mirror, or refrigerator. When you see them, take a couple of minutes to repeat them several times to yourself. Put notecards in your purse or wallet where you are sure to come across them on a regular basis. When this happens, take a moment to read them to yourself a few times. In just a little while you can switch some of your best qualities for some of the other qualities on your list.

3. Keep some perspective - People generally don't talk about their challenges, disapointments, and struggles in life, but that's not because they don't have them. How we decide to approach these things will directly influence levels of self-esteem, joy and success. The really successful and confident people in life aren't those who have faced few dificulties and challenges, they are those who have viewed them as simply a part of life and have powered through anyway, learning as they go. Your failures don't mean that you are a failure, they just mean you need to reassess the situation and the way you approach it and tackle it from a different angle.

4. Make yourself the priority - A large part of increaseing your self esteem is accepting you are deserving of your own love. Respect yourself enough to make time for yourself. Take care of yourself when you're having a difficult time. Say 'no' when you need to and don't feel bad about it. Make your needs clear to others and ask for what you need. (If you find it difficult to say 'no', then look for some assertiveness training, or get a book on the subject.)

Employ these 4 simple tips and you will be well on your way to boosting your self-esteem. Above all, remember to be kind to yourself and give yourself as much love as you give to the important people in your life. You certainly deserve it!

How to Live Problem Free

Copyright (c) 2014 Joe Vitale

Everybody has problems but nobody realizes the truth about them. Once you get this, you will never have another problem - ever. If you're interested in living a problem free life, keep reading.

First, realize we are problem-making beings.

It appears to be the human condition to find problems, create them, and/or attract them. Even when you resolve a problem, you almost instantly fill the gap with another one. Almost nobody knows this. Yet it's the key to living a problem free life. You have to understand that as one problem disappears, another bubbles up to take its place. That's how the human mind works. Some people like drama more than others, but we all seem to attract problems simply out of human habit. It's our current nature. It's our program.

Second, you can transcend all problems with detachment.

To paraphrase Buddha, life is suffering, but once you realize that life is suffering, you no longer have to suffer. You are free. At that point you realize that life is a theatrical experience and you are just playing your part in the script of life. You are detached. You are, in many respects, awakened. This second insight is just a deeper understanding of the first one. Yes, we are problem-making beings but you can also detach from the experience of the problems. You can witness them. You can watch them as if watching a soap opera on television.

Third, problems are due to perspective.

A problem to one person may be a blessing to another person. It depends on your intention, which directs your perspective. So where is the real problem? Is there even a problem at all? Dr. Hew Len, my coauthor on the book Zero Limits, often asks, "Have you ever noticed that when you have a problem, you are there?" He means that the problem is yours -- yours in perception and yours in responsibility. Clear the beliefs in you that see it as a problem and the problem is gone. Poof!

The above insights work for any problem you can name.

Got money problems?

It's only a problem because you aren't accepting what you have and are focused on what you want with a feeling of lack or even desperation. You need to be grateful for what you have now and want more. When you do that with awareness and detachment, the issue isn't a problem, it's just your next activity. When you take the edge off your stress, you can more clearly see your next move.

Got relationship problems?

It's the same scenario. It's only a problem because of your perspective that it is a problem. From a higher view, it's the next scene in the play of life. When you can take a deep breath, and realize this is just your next moment, you can more easily decide what to do. In fact, with clarity, there's not even a decision. You know what to do and just do it.

To recap, the larger insight here is to realize that as a human you will always have "problems." Always. But if you understand and accept that fact, you are then free from all problems and can lead an authentic problem free life.

You got a problem with that?

PS -- I'm not dismissing taking action to resolve problems, only urging you to have a more awakened perspective toward them. Getting clear helps resolve problems and understanding the nature of them is part of breaking free. Work Less & Achieve More

We all have the same amount of time any given day, so why do some of us get so much more done that others? The same is true for professionals - some of us get the fundamentals in place so fast while others struggle to get past the very first hurdles. That's a question I get asked often, why are others getting deals already and I'm still waiting for my first one?

There isn't just a single road to success which anyone or everyone could follow and reach their dreams. It would be nice, but it's just not the way it works. On the bright side, we should all know that <a href="http://www.realestatemoney.com/millionaire-mindset-mental-tips-for-success/">success</a> leaves behind clues; especially when you pay attention to others who are experiencing the type of success you want in your life.

One of the biggest areas that people fall short again and again is with time management. Those who learn quickly to manage their time often see success much faster than others. Time management is important for both the <a href="http://www.realestatemoney.com/leveraging-other-peoples-money-for-real-estate-investing/">investors</a> who work at it like a full time job as well as those who are trying to fit it in as a side business. The better you learn to manage your time and stay on task; the faster you're going to see the fruits of your labor.

Time management comes in a lot of different ways; and I think none are as important as staying organized. Keep your focus each day by making lists of what you need to get accomplished. My personal suggestion is to carry around a simple notebook and make your lists in there. Those who have met me probably already know that I'm against using electronic devices for planning &hellip; even though I'm plenty tech savvy. A list in your notebook isn't going to distract you with a new email, text message, or phone call. The more you stay focused, the better!

Staying organized and keeping your focus on the tasks you have to accomplish are the two main areas that people need to improve. With some very basic steps - and a little more self control - getting these areas of your professional life in order will skyrocket your results. I've seen it happen dozens of times; and it can happen the same just for you. Don't be a pushover to the rest of the world with your time, block out segments and protect that time because it translates to money!

What we covered in this article is just a small part of time management that will help you be more productive. If you find the discipline to implement the above, you will get more done, feel better about yourself, and have more free time for fun!Your time is your greatest asset! Remember that!

If You Don't Use Truth You'll Lose It

Have you ever noticed that when you discover a new truth you want to share with everybody. You find it somewhat frustrating that most people do not get nearly as excited about the truth as you do. If you experience enough rejection about the truth you yourself will begin to question it. If you do not apply the truth into your own life After time you will forget all about it. By contrast if you continue to study more about what you have discovered your knowledge and the benefits of that truth will continue to grow.

In the book of Matthew chapter 13 you'll read the parable of the sower. This is about the farmer as he was hand broadcasting the seeds into the field he had prepared. Some of the seeds fell on the pathway and birds ate them. Some of them fell on shallow rocky ground and they sprang up rapidly but had no root system and in the sunshine they withered and died. Others fell among thorns and weeds and were eventually choked out by them. But the seeds that fell on good ground produce between 30 and 100 fold. Christ's disciples asked Him why he lectured in parables. Christ explained the parable to the disciples and showed them that the different soils were like different conditions of the mind. The seeds that were sown represented truth. He went on to say that there were many who had eyes but couldn't see and ears but couldn't hear. He said that those who applied the truth would acquire more truth but those who did nothing with it would lose what they had.

This principle is true in every aspect of our lives. If we apply ourselves to learning the laws of human physiology we will reap the benefits of a healthy life. If we learn that there is something that we are doing it is not good for us, but we enjoy it, and choose to continue doing it we will lose the benefit that that truth would have for us.

The overwhelming problem that most of us face today is what is truth. In the area of health alone there are many apparently conflicting truths. Are we open-minded enough to entertain other people's beliefs. The greatest enemy of excellence is good enough. In my lifestyle coaching I find that some people are willing to change their lifestyle if it will help them achieve a specific goal. There are others that are unwilling to give up destructive habits. They are looking for a magic bullet that will allow them to continue in an unhealthy behavior. One of the problems of our modern mindset is that we look for the one cause of our problem. To achieve success there are usually several steps involved. We didn't get to our present situation by one choice. Many times when we make a bad choice we followed up with another bad choice trying to correct it.

The vast majority of the people that I talk to in lifestyle coaching have a pretty fair idea of the things in their life that require some modification. The biggest reason that we do not change them is because there is something else that is even more important to us. Most people will achieve what is most important to them. There are times that if you truly want to achieve a goal you'll have to change what you eat, you may have to change who your friends are, you may have to change what you do for entertainment, and may even have to change the way you dress.

Many of us are entrenched in false beliefs that make it very very difficult to turn our life around. Food, politics, religion, and family are incredibly powerful influences in our lives. Not surprisingly it is in these areas that many of us face our most difficult challenges.

How to Increase Talent

Copyright (c) 2014 Joe Vitale

I of course know who Lance Armstrong is. I have yet to meet him, even though we live in the same area of Texas and we've both been on the cover of Austin Fit magazine. He came to life for me when I read Daniel Coyle's New York Times bestselling book, Lance Armstrong's War. While I'm not a cyclist, the book was so well written that I was compelled to read every word of it. When I heard Coyle had a new book coming out, I pre-ordered it without a thought.

It arrived a few days ago. It's terrific. The Talent Code reveals the true source of greatness. And it's not what you might think. As the author's site (www.thetalentcode.com) for the book says&hellip;

What is the secret of talent? How do we unlock it?

Journalist and New York Times bestselling author Daniel Coyle visited nine of the world's greatest talent hotbeds -- tiny places that produce huge amounts of talent, from a small music camp in upstate New York to an elementary school in California to the baseball fields of the Caribbean.

He found that there's a pattern common to all of them -- certain methods of training, motivation, and coaching. This pattern, which has to do with the fundamental mechanisms through which the brain acquires skill, gives us a new way to think about talent -- as well as new tools with which we can unlock our own talents and those of our kids.

The Talent Code may be the most stimulating, inspiring and informative book I've read so far this year. I keep reading it, underlying parts, making notes, and reflecting. It helps explain many defining moments in my own life. For example.

Back in 1969 I failed high school geometry. Got an 'F' in it. I had to retake the course the next year. The funny thing is, the next year I got straight 'A's in geometry. How did I go from F to A? I had a different teacher. The second instructor - a Mr. Ron Posey, I remember - had me follow a strict discipline, right down to using a particular notebook, putting protectors around the 3-holes in the pages, handwriting meticulously, and more. It drove some kids nuts. It helped me get straight A's. According to Coyle, that second instructor was a brilliant coach intuitively using The Talent Code's secrets.

Back in 1972, when I learned how to fly a single engine plane, I went through a ten-week course that was the hardest thing I had done (and have yet to do) in my entire life. I either flew a plane every day or was in ground school studying every day, five days a week, all day long. I thought the curriculum was intense. Overwhelming even. It wasn't until I read Coyle's book that I realized Kent State Univeristy's flight school was teaching me exactly the way I needed to learn: by stretching me beyond what I thought was doable.

But how does all of this work to increase talent?

What was my geometry teacher and that flight school doing to turn an average (below average, really) kid into a straight A student and a licensed private pilot?

Coyle's riveting book explains the three things needed to increase talent and go toward greatness. One essential is "the spark" of inspiration. Something has to ignite desire.

That's what happened in 1970 when I met Rod Serling, creator of the famous sci-fi TV series, The Twilight Zone. I realized Serling was human and if he could be a famous writer, than I could too. I then put myself through a self-study program that contained well more than 10,000 hours of writing, reading, writing and more reading; of being rejected for years, and yet trying again and again (and again and again). My first book wasn't published until 1984. The spark of inspiration was Rod Serling. This "spark" is what begins a huge, deep transformation. It's the beginning to unlocking talent.

The second ingredient needed is a particular kind of practice.

When I was learning how to play the harmonica some thirty years ago, I nearly threw the instrument against the wall. While it's easy to just blow through a harp and get some music out of it, learning how to blow through single holes, bend notes, and control your breathing and the resulting music is a challenge. But I kept practicing. I practiced every day at 7 pm on the front porch of an abandoned house. After an entire year, I could play like a relatively good blues harpist. But it took practice that involved struggle, errors, correction, and more practice. That's part of the secret to increasing talent.

The third secret is great coaching.

I'm currently taking private tutoring lessons with Berlitz instructors to learn Spanish, for my speaking engagement in Lima, Peru on June 4th. While I have books, courses, CDs and more on how to speak Spanish, there's nothing like having a personal coach there to guide my learning. When I failed geometry the first time but excelled at it the second time, it was due to a better coach. I learned to pilot a plane in a short amount of time due to great teachers. These days I have my own coaching program for people wanting to improve or breakthrough. It's needed for noteworthy success. In fact, it's a requirement.

Coyle's book is essential reading for the hypnotic writing, the stories, the insights and more. At the heart of it is the news that a substance in the brain called myelin is what makes people great.

But the greater news is anyone -- even you and me -- can develop any talent by following the three elements Coyle describes. Doing so will build myelin. As the subtitle of his book says, "Greatness isn't born. It's grown."

The Talent Code may just be "the spark" needed to turn wishful dreamers into talented greats that in the future Daniel Coyle may write about -- just as he's already done for a living legend, Lance Armstrong.

Picking Up Girls Can Be Easier Than You Expect With New Websites

There has been a huge increase in the number of blogs, youtube channels, websites, forums and more in regards to being able to pickup the girl of your dreams, or in some cases the girls of your dreams. The internet destinations have been getting more popular lately, and more and more seem to be popping up. Although there is typically money involved in some of the services, many are free open forums, or youtube channels that naturally do not charge to watch their videos. SimplePickup is one of the best youtube channels for this, although they rarely make new videos anymore as they've progressed into a paid service that is supposed to help you pickup any girl that you want or see in public.

Being able to have the confidence and the skill to pickup any girl you see in public that you want to talk to can be a great skill to have. How many times have you had opportunities to potentially meet a new person but it was avoided due to nervousness, shyness, or other psychological issues that enabled you to talk yourself out of doing it. Imagine what you could have potentially experienced had you gone for it, it may have ended up being a person you would be in a relationship with and could potentially change your life. You never know what the particular situation may end up leading to, so you should always be willing to have the confidence and skills to at least try, and probably make it happen. If you think about it, even if you fail you probably won't feel bad, and you won't spend the rest of your time wondering what would have happened had you actually gone up to her. It really is a no lose situation. You are going to get denied occasionally, but you just sort of have
to play the numbers and keep going.

As you can see there is a lot that could potentially go into the game of picking up girls and meeting that special someone. A lot of it depends on what your particular objectives are and what your goals are, but there is always more that can be learned and no one can do without improvement of any kind. Don't be so stubborn you believe you have zero room for improvement. There are countless books, websites, blogs, and more for you to check out to improve your skills.

----------------------------------------------------
There are countless blogs online about trying to pickup girls, but two of them stand above the rest and really help you get what you are looking to accomplish. The two Best Blogs for Picking Up Girls are
