Leaders must recognize achievements of staff members. You need to extol others for accomplishments but maintain a low profile for your own feats. The true leader will never claim credit for what a colleague has done. On the contrary, you must accept responsibility for anything that goes wrong and work quickly to remedy the problem. Competent leaders are concerned about the success of staff members and look into the advancement of peers.

A leader should have an exceptional character and be relied upon to lead other people. You need to be upright and show integrity. There should be a great deal of enthusiasm in your work. Subordinates will react more candidly to someone with passion and commitment. The leader should be a source of encouragement and energize others toward a mandatory act or cause. You should be perceived as leading the team working towards company goals.
